Waukesha Police Report: March 24, 2016 issue

1 License plates were stolen off a vehicle in the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter, 2000 S. West Ave., between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. March 9.

2 A caller at 1907 Waterview Lane reported at 8:44 a.m. March 10 that a male stole his iPod and pawned it.

3 A woman was taken into custody after her boyfriend reported a domestic disturbance incident after she brought "crack" into an apartment at 221 Arcadian Ave. at 3:54 p.m. March 10.

4 A bicycle was stolen from a garage at 2108 Inverness Drive prior to 7:31 p.m. March 10.

5 A woman's wallet was stolen from a purse while she was in the bar area at 1427 E. Racine Ave. prior to 10:40 p.m. March 10.

6 A bus driver found a pink envelope that said "open me" in the bus shelter at Abbott Drive and Kossow Road at 9:58 a.m. March 11. The package just contained a cross-stitch Jesus symbol.

7 Police were called to an apartment at 326 Jackson Court at 12:42 p.m. March 11 after a man, who lives at an apartment at 239 Hinman Ave., hit the mother of his child in the face. The woman, who is three months pregnant, said the male punched her, pulled her hair and dragged her up the stairs. She ran into the Jackson Court apartment for help.

8 The deadbolt on the front door of a home was broken and the house was rummaged through at 220 Howell Ave. prior to 1:18 p.m. March 11. No suspects were located.

9 A 50-year-old man suffered a laceration to his face and was taken to the hospital following a fight outside the Price Pointe Inn, 532 Bluemound Road, at 9:45 p.m. March 11.

10 A woman was taken into custody and a Taser had to be deployed after a caller reported a domestic disturbance incident at an apartment at 401 E. Main St. at 1:43 a.m. March 12. Another female suffered injuries during the incident.

11 A vehicle was entered at 1600 E. Sunset Drive overnight March 11-12.

12 During a Craigslist transaction, a PlayStation 3 was stolen at 1894 Haymarket Road at 2:05 p.m. March 12.

13 A bathtub was stolen from a yard at 1010 Genesee St. prior to 3:47 p.m. March 12.

14 Staff wanted an intoxicated woman sleeping at a table removed from the at El Palmar Mexican restaurant, 145 W. Main St., at 12:25 a.m. March 13.

15 A suspicious male was seen outside the Speedway gas station, 400 Summit Ave., at 10:42 a.m. March 13. A woman said while her 13-year-old daughter was in her car in the parking lot, the male walked up to the window, stared and waved at her. When the mother confronted the man and asked him why he was staring at her daughter, the man said he was just saying "hi" and that he can do whatever he wants. The man was gone upon police arrival.

16 A home was broken into and a 50-inch TV was stolen at 2134 Kilps Drive on March 11. The incident was reported March 13.

17 A dog died after it was struck by a vehicle at North West Avenue and Glenwood Drive at 11:32 a.m. March 13. The dog got loose from its leash and ran into the road. The driver, who did not stop, may not have even known it struck the dog.

18 A man was taken into custody after he engaged in a vehicle pursuit around 100 Corrina Blvd. at 12:15 a.m. March 14. The man stole the caller's vehicle and was driving as fast as 60 mph around downtown streets such as Barstow Street, Wisconsin Avenue and South Street.

19 A man was taken to the hospital after he accidentally shot himself outside of 1105 Lincoln Ave. at 12:33 a.m. March 14. The caller said he heard a gunshot and saw his brother lying on the sidewalk bleeding. The man said he was trying to shoot a skunk.

20 Someone scratched profanity words into the side of a day care vehicle at KinderCare, 1705 Pine St., prior to 9:20 a.m. March 14.

21 Bicycle parts were stolen from an unlocked fenced-in area at 2019 Kensington Drive prior to 10:23 a.m. March 14.

22 A man was taken into custody after a domestic disturbance at 634 E. College Ave. at 11:17 p.m. March 14. The caller said the man, who is the father of her children, grabbed her and pulled her down the stairs. The man said he would not leave because he needed gas money.

23 Retail theft suspects from one day earlier returned to the cosmetic and salon store Ulta, 1160 W. Sunset Drive, at 1:20 p.m. March 15. The suspects were females in their 20s who arrived in a green SUV with Illinois license plates. The store had not reported the initial theft. At least one person was taken into custody.

24 A woman in the 1200 block of Summit Ave. believes she was the victim of fraud at 2:09 p.m. March 15 after she purchased a puppy online. She sent over money but never received the dog. The person she communicated with said she needed to give more money if she wanted the dog.

25 A white truck was on fire in the parking lot behind an apartment at 1224 Fleetfoot Drive at 12:21 a.m. March 16. The fire started in the passenger compartment, but no cause was given. Crews got the fire under control.

26 A report of a domestic disturbance call involving a male and female resulted in one person being taken into custody at 2108 MacArthur Road at 2:30 p.m. March 16.

27 A mail package that was delivered to an apartment at 2426 Springdale Road was stolen prior to 5:04 p.m. March 16.

28 A male in his 20s playing with a radio-control car in the street almost caused car accidents at 1421 Josephine St. at about 5:57 p.m. March 16. The male was gone upon police arrival.

29 A car was scratched in the parking lot at 247 Wisconsin Ave. prior to 12:49 p.m. March 17.

30 A woman said the dog she bought over the Internet never arrived at her home at 1960 Jan Ave. at 4:45 p.m. March 17. The woman said the company won't provide her a refund.

31 A shirtless male who was yelling profanities and throwing glass bottles and plates into the street at Maple and Wisconsin avenues was taken into custody at 10:17 p.m. March 17.

32 An intoxicated male in his 40s fell and smashed his head into a pool table at Hannon's Fine Foods & Cocktails, 357 W. Broadway, at 11:40 p.m. March 17. The male was turned over to another person for care.

33 A man was taken into custody after he threw a brick through the window of the Siena House homeless shelter, 1519 Summit Ave., at 12:53 a.m. March 18. He was apparently angry that a taxi cab driver had not taken him to the Jeremy House shelter.

34 A fight between two people drew a crowd of approximately 15 people in the parking lot at 362 W. Main St. at 1:55 a.m. March 18. The victim did not want a complaint and all parties left on their own.

35 A man sleeping in the basement of an apartment complex, 1701 Elder St., at 3:07 a.m. March 18 was taken into custody after the manager asked that he be removed.
