Jackson's Blue Ribbon Pub did not last long in downtown Waukesha.

The pub, which opened during the fall of 2013 at 225 South St., closed two weeks ago, said Dominic Hoeffler, who was the general manager at the Waukesha location.

The pub had closed for a couple weeks last August due to what its owner called as staffing issues. The pub reopened with almost 90 percent new staff as well as a few menu changes.

Hoeffler said staff was not the reason this time for the closure. However, when asked why they shut down, Hoeffler said he was not at liberty to discuss the reasons.

'We're not allowed to say,' Hoeffler said.

Hoeffler said some of the employees from the Waukesha location have been reassigned to its Milwaukee (1203 N. 10th St.)and Wauwatosa (11302 W. Bluemound Road) sites.

Before Jackson's Blue Ribbon Pub opened, the building was occupied by J. Lotti's bar/restaurant.
