Elizabeth Jozwiak was named the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha's Outstanding Alum for 2006. She attended UW-Waukesha in 1983. Jozwiak is now an assistant professor of history at the University of Wisconsin-Rock County, and she said she found her calling during her first two years of college.

Three alumni of Waukesha North High School were chosen to be the second class of inductees into North's Wall of Stars. The newly inducted alumni were Steven Gruel, class of 1975, Connie Grauer, class of 1976, and William Markham, class of 1986.

Gruel was selected as an inductee for his work in government. Gruel served as an assistant attorney with the U.S. Justice Department, working with the FBI and Department of Homeland Security to identify, investigate and convict large-scale international criminal organizations involved in human trafficking, drug smuggling and money laundering. From 2002 to 2004, he was the chief of the Major Crimes Section.

Grauer was chosen for her contributions and achievements in the world of entertainment. Grauer formed a band called MRS and started a recording label titled Funtime Records, and a publishing company called Black Sky Publishing.

Markham was chosen because of his military achievement. For the past fourteen years, Markham has been a combat controller with the Air Force's Special Tactics Squadron, which accepts less than 1% of those who try out.
