Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County, which promotes and coordinates giving to families in need during the Christmas season, is still looking for sponsors.
For those interested in becoming a sponsor, the CCC, a nonprofit group, will match them with a family in need. Sponsors will spend at least $60 per child on new toys or clothes to fulfill a child's wish list.
The sponsor will contact the family they are matched with to receive the wish list. They will then buy the gifts, wrap them and deliver them to the family by Dec. 11.
Susan Schoultz, who serves on the CCC's publicity committee, said many of the families still in need of sponsors this holiday season include single parents struggling to make ends meet.
Sponsors can be individuals, families, groups, organizations and businesses in the community.
"You can imagine how much it would mean to these parents to have their children's wishes fulfilled despite the family's struggles," said CCC Executive Director Ruth Page Jones.
Those interested in becoming a sponsor can call the CCC office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday by Dec. 6 at (262) 896-3390.
Besides being a sponsor, individuals can also donate new, unwrapped toys at one of CCC's drop-off locations. These toys are for children who aren't matched with a sponsor.
Toy donations are accepted until Dec. 11 at one of the many CCC toy drop-off locations throughout Waukesha County.
There are 33 locations in the City of Waukesha.

To donate to the CCC, individuals can also mail checks to the organization. The value of these contributions is tax-deductible.
