An employee of the Wisconsin Feargrounds haunted house in Waukesha said she was inappropriately touched by a patron who was walking through one of the haunted houses this fall.

Kenneth C. Menominee, a 46-year-old from Waukesha, was charged on Dec. 15 with one count each of fourth-degree sexual assault and disorderly conduct for allegedly grabbing the woman's groin area.

If convicted of the offenses, he faces up to a year in prison and $11,000 in fines. Menominee will make his initial appearance in court on Jan. 11.

According to the criminal complaint, the 20-year-old victim said her job was to attempt to scare customers by crawling toward them on the floor and then standing up if she was not noticed.

The woman said in the complaint that late in the evening Oct. 3 as a group of people came through one of the haunted houses, which are located on the grounds of the Waukesha County Expo Center, Menominee hugged her and used his arms to keep her arms down.

Menominee then used one of his hands to rub her body and also grabbed her groin area with his hand, the victim said in the complaint. She also accused Menominee of wrapping his hand around her vaginal area, according to the complaint.

The woman in the complaint also alleged Menominee was intoxicated as she could smell alcohol coming from him.

Another employee said in the complaint that he saw Menominee hugging the victim at the haunted house.
