The Waukesha Business Improvement District has organized a Round Robin Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Waukesha Mayor Larry Nelson will welcome each of the four new businesses to historic downtown Waukesha with a ribbon cutting. Main St. Ballroom, 734 Clinton St., will kick off the round robin with the grand opening of their new location at 2:00 p.m.
“We are looking forward to hosting our fourth Round Robin Ribbon Cutting this Saturday,” said Karen Richards, executive director of the Waukesha Business Improvement District. “Whether they have expanded, moved to a new location, or opened a second location, each business is offering something new to our already vibrant downtown.”
Ribbon cutting ceremonies will be held every thirty minutes at each of the following locations. Special offers, raffles, free samples, and refreshments will be offered.

Offering salon services featuring eco-friendly Aveda products
During the Round Robin, Main Street Ballroom will be featuring dance demonstrations, teaching basic ballroom dance steps, and offering a discounted rate of one private dance lesson, and two parties for $50. “Each private lesson is tailor made to fit the needs of the student and the styles they are interested in learning,” said Tony Bree, owner of Main Street Ballroom. “We offer a laid back, friendly atmosphere. One of our main goals is to have fun and dance.” Bree has been dancing professionally for over 12 years, competing throughout the country. “My dream has always been to open my own studio. I love working with students and building their confidence,” Bree said. “Downtown Waukesha generates a lot of people downtown, and offers a sense of community. It was the perfect location to open my studio.”

They offer a modern, non-smoking atmosphere featuring live music and the same great menu as Magellan’s. “I saw a need for additional space at Magellan’s,” said Dan Italiano, owner of Magellan’s and M2. “I wanted to open an additional location that accommodated those looking for a smoke-free atmosphere.” M2 also offers free WI-FI and encourages businesses to take advantage of their ample space. In addition to the opening of their new location, Serendipity Scrapbooks will celebrate their three year anniversary with prize drawings every 30 minutes, checkout bonuses, and a chance to win a Silhouette die cutting machine valued at $300.
