CC&N and NEXT Electric have added E.J. Kubick, an executive vice president of MetalTek International in Waukesha, and Kyle Spader, president of the U.S. Division of IEWC Corp. in New Berlin, to its board of directors.
CC&N is an employee-owned company, or ESOP, and Wisconsin’s largest provider of cabling and connectivity solutions. NEXT Electric, a wholly owned subsidiary of CC&N, is an electrical contractor that provides solutions for the commercial, industrial and institutional sectors.
“E.J. and Kyle bring sharp, strategic thinking to the board,” says Lisa Reardon, president, CEO and chairman of the CC&N and NEXT Electric board. “E.J. understands our customer profile so he delivers excellent insight that will help us shape our future. Kyle has an amazing depth of ESOP experience and knowledge. In addition, he intimately knows our distribution channels and has experience with growth and acquisition.”
Reardon was named chairman of the CC&N and NEXT Electric board after CC&N founder, Dick Hettwer, retired from the position last year.
Kubick is a Chenequa resident who has been with MetalTek International for more than 10 years. In his current role as executive vice president, he leads the North American Group which includes five metalworking companies in Wisconsin, Ohio, Missouri and Tennessee. Before joining MetalTek, Kubick held various senior level positions at Grede Foundries. He holds a degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
“Lisa and I have been in the same TEC group for more than five years and I’ve been impressed by her vision and execution of a market leading growth strategy for CC&N,” says Kubick. “I hope to support Lisa and CC&N by providing both a market perspective and insight from my experience implementing successful growth initiatives.”
Spader is a Muskego resident who has been with IEWC Corp., an ESOP company, for 13 years. He is president of the U.S. division, which has $200 million in revenue and includes ten sales offices, eight distribution centers and 200 employees. In the last five years, Spader has guided IEWC through acquisitions, globalization and organic expansion. To support that growth, Spader is currently focused on implementing a new U.S. leadership structure and high performance team-building environment at IEWC.
“Lisa is an extremely passionate leader who is committed to the ESOP culture,” says Spader. “Throughout my career, I’ve been heavily engaged in the ESOP process on the finance, sales and operations sides of the business. I understand the nuances of implementing change within an employee-owned company.”
CC&N and NEXT Electric, which are headquartered in Pewaukee, have more than 200 full and part-time employees combined. CC&N also operates offices in Appleton, Racine and Madison.
