Police Report: May 23

1 A resident at 2824 Woodridge Court called police at 2:49 a.m. May 15 to report their son's vehicle was hit with a baseball bat and they saw an SUV driving away very quickly.

2 Strong winds caused a tree to fall on a house at 1501 Pine St. No one was injured, but power lines were down.

3 A man was warned he could get cited for indecent exposure after people reported seeing him urinating at Coolidge and South Grand Avenue at 7:51 p.m. May 14.

4 A man was warned he could not bow fish per city ordinance after a caller reported him fishing with a fishing line attached to a bow and arrow at Fox River Parkway and Sunset Drive at 7:47 p.m. May 14.

5 Someone called police at 6:56 p.m. May 14 to report three teenagers riding lawnmowers with trailers in the area of Ayrshire Lane and Downing Drive. They said the teens were going door to door asking people if they wanted their lawns mowed. The caller was concerned about them riding on the street.

6 A caller at 6:34 p.m. on May 14 reported indecent exposure at 518 Glenwood Drive involving two women and a man in front of a window with the blinds and windows open. The caller said children were playing outside. When police arrived "sexual relations" were taking place just insdie the window facing Glenwood. When police tried to contact the people inside, a woman slammed the door in their face.

7 A caller at 741 N. Grand Ave. called police at 9:49 p.m. May 14 to report someone has been throwing rocks at their car and has chipped their windshield. They said another car nearby has also been damaged.

8 A utility trailer was reported stolen sometime overnight on May 13 from 824 Philip Drive.

9 A woman reported indecent exposure at 1220 W. Sunset Drive after a man who asked her for directions around 12:59 p.m. May 14 exposed himself and started masturbating.

10 A caller at 2021 Cardinal Drive called police at 12:24 p.m. May 14 to report that people who they reported were having sex in their car the day before are now driving by their house and honking and flipping them off. They said they feel it's retaliation for the previous report. Police advised them on issuing a harassment complaint.

11 A caller at 572 Elizabeth St. reported May 14 that someone broke a window to the warehouse there and stole batteries and cut cords off equipment.

12 Theft of a laptop was reported at 8:20 a.m. May 15 at 401 E. Roberta Ave. The theft occurred on May 6 according to the report.

13 A caller reported they saw a silver SUV strike a row of mailboxes and continued driving in the 200 block of Cliff-Alex Court at 9:15 p.m. May 16.

14 A woman called police at 12:10 p.m. May 16 and said while she was trying to park at 308 South St. someone on a roof threw a rock that hit her windshield.

15 A caller at 633 E. North St. said they came home around 9:59 p.m. May 18 and found their doors and windows open and home completely ransacked.

16 Two males were advised after a caller reported them lighting fireworks at a park near Davidson Road around 4:47 p.m. May 18.

17 A caller at 905 Larchmont Drive reported an ongoing problem of things being stolen out of the garage. They called police at 11:29 a.m. May 18 to report theft of a bicycle.

18 Theft of a bike from an unlocked garage at 404 N. Grandview Blvd. was reported at 8:39 a.m. May 18.

19 A fight was reported at 2:27 a.m. at 926 Barstow St. May 18. A man was reportedly struck by a car but was conscious and breathing.

20 An accident with injury was reported at 2451 Silvernail Road after a caller reported a car on I-94 went through the fence on the side of the interstate and ended up on Silvernail at 9:45 a.m. May 17.

21 Theft of a wallet, credit cards and a phone from a locker at West Wood Health & Fitness, 2900 Golf Road, was reported at 4:33 p.m. May 19.

22 A caller at 145 W. Main St. reported a missing bag of money that occurred sometime around 4:22 p.m. May 19. They said a suspicious male was in the store, but is now gone.

23 Accident with injury was reported at 1039 S. Grandview Blvd. at 4:19 p.m. May 19. Accident involved a motorcycle. Two females were reported injured one with pain all over and one with a gash to her leg according to the report.

24 A woman at 936 Caroline St. called police at 2:40 p.m. May 19 to report someone has been coming into her home and stealing her belongings while she is at work. She said she doesn't lock her door because she doesn't have a key to get back in.

25 A caller's tires were reported popped at 1514 Big Bend Road at 10:54 a.m. May 19.

26 A guitar, tuner and three envelopes containing cash were taken from an unlocked vehicle at 403 N. Grand Ave. May 20.

27 An accident at Oakdale Drive and Highway 59 at about 9 p.m. May 20 resulted in rib and head injuries. Oakdale was temporarily shut down and both vehicles were towed.

28 A caller at 1175 White Rock Ave. said two kids threw a stink bomb in his business and ran off around 5 p.m. May 20. They said the children also threw one in Hopson Oil on Friday.

29 A bike was reported missing from an unlocked garage at 411 E. Newhall Ave. The caller said it was taken sometime overnight on May 19.

30 A caller at 1915 Kensington Drive called police at 1:32 p.m. May 20 to report a missing envelope that contained a $5 bill. The caller said the envelope was on their kitchen table and when they returned it was missing. After a search, the missing envelope was found on a kitchen chair. A ceiling fan had blown it off the table.
