Waukesha Police Report: Sept. 4, 2014 issue

1 A caller reported that a man was watching her at Horeb Spring Park, 400 Spring St., at 10:21 a.m. Aug. 21. The caller and her children were the only people there and the man began walking in circles around her vehicle. The caller felt very unnerved.

2 Cash totaling $3,000 was stolen from a vehicle's glove box in a driveway at 235 Tenny Ave. prior to 11:12 a.m. Aug. 21.

3 A checkbook and spare keys were stolen from a vehicle at 328 Maple Ave. prior to 5:17 p.m. Aug. 21.

4 A man said he was struck in the face by his ex-girlfriend at an apartment at 157 Third St. around 6:45 p.m. Aug. 21.

5 A caller reported seeing a suspicious man at Moorewood Park, 616 Rempe Drive, around 8:30 p.m. Aug. 21. The caller said the man was in the park by himself, took his bike and walked into the bushes where he appeared to be hiding. When the caller asked why he was hiding, the man said "I'm looking at the flowers."

6 A woman called to report her husband struck her at 1624 S. Prairie Ave. and caused bruising to her face. The woman told police at 11:45 p.m. Aug. 21 that the incident happened three days earlier but was afraid to call.

7 Baby formula was stolen from Pick 'n Save, 2160 Silvernail Road, just after 2 p.m. Aug. 22.

8 A man threw a woman's car keys out of a seventh-floor window because the female was drunk and was planning on driving at 801 N. East Ave. at 5:56 p.m. Aug. 22. The man and woman were fighting over alcohol abuse, the end of their relationship and the female being evicted from the apartment.

9 Two women were fighting at the Hebron House of Hospitality's homeless shelter, 812 N. East Ave., around 8:15 p.m. Aug. 22.

10 A caller said her boyfriend got into a verbal altercation with her after he became upset when she was having difficulties breastfeeding at 701 Morgan Ave. at 1:22 a.m. Aug. 23.

11 Two people stole chips, candy and soda from Broadway Petro Mart, 114 E. Broadway, at 2:20 a.m. Aug. 23 and then ran toward downtown.

12 A caller found what appeared to be fecal matter, possibly human, on a piece of paper by the curb to his house at 230 Frame Ave. at 10:02 a.m. Aug. 23.

13 A caller's American flag was stolen from her house at 1129 School Drive at 3:37 p.m. Aug. 23.

14 A caller said they can see at least two flashlights shining under the bleachers at Waukesha West High School, 3301 Saylesville Road, at 8:34 p.m. Aug. 23 and felt it was suspicious. Police found a father and son looking for coins under the bleachers.

15 A caller felt it was suspicious that two vehicles were going up and down the 1600 block of Rushmore Drive around 11:45 p.m. Aug. 23. It had happened several times over the previous hour, and that people were also walking in the area. It turns out the motorists were lost and they couldn't find the house where they were supposed to be dog sitting.

16 A caller's roommate punched holes in the walls and threw a bar stool through the TV at 416 W. Dunbar Ave. at 3:18 a.m. Aug. 24. Both parties got into an argument over girls and dating. No complaint, however, was filed.

17 A man's 22-carat gold wedding ring was reported lost at Rivers Crossing Park, 3703 Rivers Crossing Drive, at 7:40 a.m. Aug. 24.

18 A caller reported at about 3 p.m. Aug. 24 that a drunk man on a bench near the dam at the corner of Corrina Boulevard and North Barstow Street keeps urinating in public and defecated his pants. The man, who was wet and muddy from being in the river, denied urinating.

19 A possible domestic disturbance was reported in the 1600 block of Delafield St. just before 4 p.m. Aug. 24. There was no criteria for a domestic disturbance as the shouting was coming from a movie heard in the background.

20 Two girls pulled a 13-year-old girl to the ground and beat her up outside the Waukesha Public Library, 321 Wisconsin Ave., at 5:25 p.m. Aug. 24. The two girls ran away. The victim said she had never seen the girls before.

21 A caller reported a large group of kids were running up and down the street and being loud at the corner of Hinman and Harvey avenues around 8:30 p.m. Aug. 24. Police learned the kids were having a neighborhood-friendly water fight. A couple minutes later between 15 and 20 kids were seen blocking the road, jumping in front of a car and spraying water at it.

22 Police were called to the Kendal Lofts, 456 W. Main St., at 9:07 p.m. Aug. 24 for three females reportedly taking their clothes off, taking pictures of each other and "giggling." The females were doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

23 A man said he was pushed to the ground, kicked and choked by his ex-boyfriend after he tried to stop his ex-boyfriend from driving under the influence in the 500 block of West College Ave. at 12:26 a.m. Aug. 25.

24 Two iron geese were broken off a fountain, and other fountains were damaged, at the Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave., prior to 8:53 a.m. Aug. 25.

25 A woman said she was slapped across the face by her boyfriend at an apartment at 209 Hinman Ave. at 5:37 p.m. Aug. 25.

26 A smartphone was stolen from Skateland, 1931 E. Main St., prior to 8:56 p.m. Aug. 25. The female victim said she could tell the person who stole her phone is taking pictures with it because her phone and her iPad are linked.

27 An 11-year-old girl at 1416 Josephine St. at 9:52 p.m. Aug. 25 received a phone call from a restricted number who threatened "to beat her butt" at Banting Elementary School the next day. The girl's mother thought it was a prank call but wanted it documented and an extra check at the school.

28 Police were called for a man sleeping at a bus shelter at 151 S. Grand Ave. at 1:12 a.m. Aug. 26. The man said he was drinking at Margaritas Mexican Grill earlier and on his walk home he took a break at the bus shelter.

29 Someone was throwing eggs at an employee from The Clarke Hotel as she was walking from the Municipal Parking Ramp on the corner of Grand Avenue and West Broadway around 2:05 a.m. Aug. 26.

30 Good Karma Broadcasting's radio station, 1801 Coral Drive, was broken into prior to 3:40 p.m. Aug. 26. A window was broken, and someone lit a roll of toilet paper on fire.

31 Juveniles were trying to steal lights out of the Les Paul Performance Center's band shelter near the Waukesha Public Library, 321 Wisconsin Ave., just before 4 p.m. Aug. 26.

32 A caller said while her daughter was taking senior pictures prior to 4:27 p.m. Aug. 26 on the railroad bridge by KDV Label on Newhall Avenue she discovered possible human remains and what appeared to be very large bones that were cut into pieces. She said one looked like a femur. Police said the objects appeared to be hardened foam material, not organic. Police said some pieces did slightly resemble human bones.

33 A vehicle had its back window smashed out at Waukesha South High School, 401 E. Roberta Ave., around 8:50 p.m. Aug. 26.
