Jerrod Niemann and Love and Theft will be the featured acts at the Waukesha County Fair on July 17.
Niemann continues to pursue the innovative sonic approach that has defined his identity in country music, while bearing down even harder on the rock-solid songwriting that first brought him to Nashville's attention. His latest release, "High Noon," represents a musical blend of country, pop and rock with splashes of electronic, forward-looking beats offering a wide emotional spectrum. Other popular hits include "Lover, Lover," "Drink To That All Night" and "What Do You Want?" Niemann has also written songs for such artists as Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton and Lee Brice.
Love and Theft combines small-town vibes with big country sound, a catchy combination that landed them a deal with RCA Nashville. Although the band formed as a trio in 2006, current members Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson have continued to tour and record successfully, topping the country music charts in 2011 with single "Angel Eyes."
Main Stage acts are free with paid admission to the fair. Special up-front seating is also available with VIP and Elite tickets, which go on sale April 1 and can be purchased at WaukeshaCountyFair.com while supplies last.
July 16-20 marks the 172nd anniversary of the Waukesha County Fair, the oldest fair in the state. The Waukesha County Fair Association is a nonprofit volunteer organization that is completely separate and receives no funding from Waukesha County or the City of Waukesha. Its mission is to "provide quality family entertainment which preserves our rural heritage and is dedicated to educating and entertaining all ages in Waukesha County and surrounding communities."
