Waukesha celebrates Independence Day with parade and fireworks

The city of Waukesha's Fourth of July festivities include a parade in the morning and a fireworks display at night.

The parade is at 11 a.m. Friday, July 4, and begins at Cutler Park and winds its way through the streets ending at Frame Park. Lineup begins at 9:30 a.m. and the streets will be barricaded at about 10 a.m.

Sponsored by the Waukesha Kiwanis Early Risers, free ice cream will be distributed to all children who participate in the parade.

The fireworks show begins at around 9:30 p.m. on the Waukesha County Expo Center grounds, 1000 Northview Road. The grounds open at 7 p.m.
