The town of Waukesha will also soon be utilizing new technology that will allow the public to stay more informed.

The town board accepted Metro Sound Video's bid for installing new audio and video equipment for town hall. The new equipment will be paid through a community block development grant worth $12,477.

Like the city, the video will allow the town to live stream meetings and create an archived vault of past meetings on its website.

New equipment for the town will cost $10,260, with labor expenses just under $2,000. Metro Sound Video's proposal indicates the typical time frame for completion is within 90 days.

'The ability to live stream and put (videos of the meetings) onto our website is an attractive thing for me,' Town Chairman John Marek said.
