A new craft brewery on Waukesha's northeast side will hold a five-day grand opening celebration.

Events at Raised Grain Brewing Co., 2244 W. Bluemound Road, Unit E, kicked off on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The celebration goes until Sunday, Sept. 27. Special events include brewery tours, food trucks, yoga and more.

The opening of Raised Grain Brewing Co. for partners, Scott Kelley, James Gosset, Nick Reistad and Kevin Brandenburg is a year in the making. The business received city approval earlier this year.

"We're entering the market with a splash," said Kelley, who is the brewmaster. "Our boldly brewed beers are packed with flavor, and people have been enjoying the variety of our beers. Beer flights have been incredibly popular, giving our customers the opportunity to try all of our beers."

Raised Grain Brewing Co. has eight beers on tap. There are plans for four additional beers over the next two months. Raised Grain fills growlers, allowing customers to bring home their favorite fresh beer.

The schedule includes brewery tours with the brewers from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, barbecue and brews with Smokey O's food truck from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, a bean bags tournament from 7-11 p.m. Friday, a yoga event from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday (advanced registration required), and extended happy hour with $1 off glasses of beer and flights from 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
