Police Report: June 27

1 A driver at 405 W. Sunset Drive called police at 10:26 p.m. June 19 to report three juveniles threw a rock at the rear window of their car smashing the vehicle.

2 A caller eating ice cream at Murf's called police at 8:31 p.m. June 19 to report a theft in progress. They said someone was taking copper wiring from We Energies and Waukesha Engine Dumpsters at 620 Progress Ave. without permission. A supervisor was contacted and advised on the matter.

3 Police were contacted at 7:50 p.m. June 19 after man approached a female in Frame Park, 1200 White Rock Ave., and allegedly started making inappropriate comments to her and then grabbed her by the wrists and told her not to move or he would kill her. The woman was able to escape after another man intervened. A report for disorderly conduct was created for the man described as a black male in his 40s with a shaved head.

4 A caller at 1134 Burr Oak Blvd. reported at 7:16 p.m. June 19 their house was egged sometime between 8 a.m. and noon.

5 A resident at 1431 Big Bend Road called police at 7:14 p.m. June 19 to report theft of Elvis memorabilia and her wedding ring. She suspected someone who had visited.

6 A hotel manager at Extended Stay, 2520 Plaza Court, called police at 6:18 p.m. June 19 to report fraud. They said on two separate incidents subjects used a stolen credit card at the business. The matter is under investigation.

7 Police were dispatched to a fight in progress at 4:59 p.m. June 19 at Horeb Spring Park, 400 Spring St. According to the police log, one teen involved confronted another over a stolen pot pipe. Both teens were banned from the park.

8 A caller at 2001 Macarthur Road reported harassment at 3:23 p.m. June 19. The woman said she has received phone calls from people claiming to be with eh Walworth County Sheriff's Department demanding money for legal issues involving her social security number. The woman said she has called the Sheriff and they have no record of anyone calling her. She said the caller ID will show that the call is coming from a local police department. The woman has not fallen victim to the scam and has called the law agencies to verify the calls are bogus.

9 A resident at 1331 E. Wabash Ave. reported that someone entered their garage sometime during the night on June 18. They said their garage door and car doors were left open and things were strewn about.

10 Batteries were reported stolen at 10:20 a.m. June 19 from two trucks parked outside at 1005 Spring City Drive.

11 A driver in the 1200 block of Silvernail Road called police at 9:19 p.m. June 18 after a deer jumped on their windshield while they were driving and smashed it.

12 A resident at 2108 Sherryl Lane called police at 11:58 a.m. June 18 to report that their home was egged for a second time. They said it occurred between 11:30 p.m. and midnight the past two nights.

13 Employees at Stein's Aircraft Services, 2661 Aviation Drive, called police at 10:54 a.m. June 18 to report suspicious activity. They said a man came into the business and said he was looking for Kayne West and then left. Police were able to locate the man who they noted did exhibit strange behavior but nothing criminal. The man said he believed pop star Kayne West was coming to Waukesha and that he wanted to be there to see him.

14 A good Samaritan turned in to police $240 cash and a watch they found on a walk at 9:02 a.m. June 18.

15 A caller at 2803 Madison St. reported a theft in progress at 3:21 a.m. June 21. They said people were breaking into cars in the alley.

16 Police arrested an intoxicated driver at 12:01 a.m. June 21 in the 300 block of Wisconsin Ave. after their vehicle struck construction barrels.

17 A resident at 235 Mountain Ave. called police at 11:11 a.m. June 20 to report that all four of their vehicle's tires had been slashed.

18 Two men were arrested around 12:40 a.m. June 24 after a clerk at Speedway, 1600 E. Sunset Drive, called police to report they stole lighters, coffee and carmex.

19 A patio umbrella was reported stolen at 3:55 p.m. June 21 from 314 Blair Court.

20 Someone called police at 1:53 p.m. June 21 after seeing children putting ducklings in lunchboxes at Frame Park, 1200 White Rock Ave. Police made contact with two girls who had two baby ducks that were released and the girls were advised.

21 A caller at 9:51 a.m. June 24 told police a female was driving around Waukesha Memorial Hospital, 725 American Ave., and throwing spaghetti sauce, ketchup and toilet paper on vehicles and hospital and city property.

22 A caller reported a car in the ditch at 8:49 a.m. June 24 at 2200 W. St. Paul Ave. They said a car went off the road and down in the ditch and it seemed likesomeone was hurt.
