1 A resident at 1934 S. Grand Ave. called police at 7:14 p.m. Dec. 26 after finding "human teeth" in their vent. They said they were cleaning their child's room when they found two teeth along with a razor blade. Police disposed of the teeth and didn't report seeing anything suspicious.
2 Police responded to numerous calls regarding vehicles with tires slashed between about 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 26 at 417 Grand Ave., 233 Wilson Ave., 234 Wilson Ave., 234 W. Newhall Ave., 215 S. Grand Ave. 605 Grand Ave.
3 Police responded to 1353 S. West Ave. at 3:50 p.m. Dec. 27 on a report of a man with a knife. The caller said they saw two men arguing outside the laundry mat and one man appeared to have a knife in his hand.
4 Employees at Forward Dental, 1717 Paramount Drive, called police at 6:45 a.m. Dec. 27 after finding the back doors unlocked and the front door kicked in. They also said the wood from was missing from around the door.
5 A woman at 2241 Yvonne St. called police at 1:26 a.m. Dec. 30 after a fight with her mother. The woman said she got into an argument with her mother while she was home visiting for the holidays. She and her husband decided to stay in a hotel, but her mother continues to text her saying that she will call police and report them as missing persons. The woman just wanted to reassure police that she and her husband are fine and not missing, they just wish to have no contact with her mother at this time.
6 A man who was house sitting at 4009 Oakmont Trail called police at 10:51 p.m. Dec. 29 because "there are strange noises like a saw coming from outside the house." The caller said he was scared to make a check. When police arrived they didn't find any suspicious activity, but did note a gutter vibrating in the wind.
7 Fraud was reported from a caller at 3635 Stillwater Circle at 1:32 p.m. Dec. 30. The caller said a woman on a real estate website was pretending to be the owner of a house and wanting to rent it out. The caller said they told them to meet them at the home, "even though she was out of town and wanted money." When the caller went to the house they discovered it was occupied by someone else.
8 A tire on a vehicle at 316 W. Newhall Ave. was reported slashed at 10:53 a.m. Dec. 30.
9 A resident at 503 N. West Ave. called police at 11:32 p.m. Jan. 1. They said their neighbor woke them after seeing two men trying to get into vehicles in the parking lot. The men were last seen leaving on foot toward College Avenue. Police met with the caller who didn't notice that anything had been taken. Police advised residents to lock their vehicles.
10 A cab driver in the area of Enterprise Street and Dodie Drive called police at 4:44 a.m. Jan. 1 for help tracking down a passenger that fled without paying. The cab driver said a man took off without paying his $12 fare. He followed the man who took off running. He said the man, who he picked up at the Salty Toad, left his jacket in the back of the cab, but it didn't have an ID. The driver said he last saw the man jump a fence and run south from Enterprise, Dodie.
11 A man living in an apartment in the 1100 block of White Rock Avenue called police at 6:07 p.m. Dec. 31 reporting "12 indian people at his house wearing traditional clothes (tan robes)." The man said five of the people sleep in the snow and four sleep on his bed. He said he wants to go to sleep in his bed and wants them removed. Police reported the man is suffering from mental illness and suggested he speak with a social worker.
12 A battery was reported stolen at 7:25 a.m. Dec. 31 from a delivery truck that was parked at 426 W. Sunset Drive.
13 Police were dispatched to a vacant lot at 115 Prairie Song Drive at 9:33 p.m. Jan. 2 on a report of a suspicious vehicle. The caller said the vehicle had been parked in the lot for more than 20 minutes and they think they saw a cellphone light come on. When police arrived they found two people in the backseat of the vehicle kissing. The couple said the kissing was consensual. They were advised on their behavior and sent on their way.
14 Items were reported stolen out of an unlocked vehicle at 1620 S. Prairie Ave. at 3:13 p.m. Jan. 2.
15 Glass on the bus shelter at Walmart, 2000 S. West Ave., was reported broken at 10:22 p.m. Jan. 2. The caller said someone may have shot a BB gun at the glass.
16 Police responded to a call of an intoxicated driver at Wilmont Drive and Highway 164 at 8:03 p.m. Jan. 5. The caller followed the drive for a bit after contacting police and reported the driver was slow and swerving. When police pulled the driver over, they were not intoxicated, but said they were just nervous because the caller was following them.
17 A man was cited after being caught urinating outside 277 Broadway at 2:16 a.m. Jan. 5.
18 An employee at a bar at 921 Friedman Drive called police at 12:47 a.m. Jan. 5 after a woman tried to pass a fake $50 bill.
19 Theft was reported at 306 N. West Ave. at 12:21 p.m. Jan. 4. The caller said batteries were cut out of construction equipment.
20 Batteries and other parts were reported stolen at 9:23 a.m. Jan. 4 from a wheel loader parked across from Sentry at 2300 W. St. Paul Ave.
