1 Police were called at 12:50 p.m. Jan. 13 to a residence at 133 Garfield Ave. According to the police log, the landlord was in a verbal argument with the caller. The caller said the landlord called her names and almost punched her. The current tenant's daughter came to the residence and interacted with the landlord. The daughter and landlord got into a verbal altercation. Both parties admitted to making references to striking one another but no physical contact occurred. Parties were advised to stay away from one another.
2 Police were called at 10:38 p.m. Jan. 13 to an apartment at 227 Hinman Ave. after a caller reported a verbal argument between two people. According to the police log, a man and woman got into an argument over a female texting the man. The woman refused to give the man his phone back after taking it from him. The man eventually took his phone back from her, and the woman demanded he leave the apartment. The man left to "cool off" because of the police presence and his outstanding warrant.
3 A resident at 1804 S. Grand Ave. called police at 1:03 p.m. Jan. 14 to report that her neighbor's boyfriend, whom she has had problems with, threw eggs at her apartment door while she was gone. The caller was advised on options and encouraged to call back if problems continue.
4 Police responded to an incident at an apartment at 4:44 p.m. Jan. 14 at 1959 Dixie Drive after a caller was punched in the face by his child's mother's father. The 17-year-old had a cut to his eye. The suspect was taken into custody.
5 A male customer threatened to split an employee's head open with a baseball bat at 6:16 p.m. Jan. 14 at Verizon Wireless, 1200 W. Sunset Drive. The customer fled, but the employees have all of his identifying information. The caller said the customer was "crass and rude" but nonthreatening. The man was advised to never return to the store.
6 A caller at 10:18 p.m. Jan. 14 at 134 W. North St. called police to report harassment after she received phone calls from her ex's new girlfriend in Arizona. The caller said the woman won't stop calling her and is using racial slurs. Both parties were advised.
7 A caller reported at 7:27 a.m. Jan. 15 that a vehicle struck and damaged his mailbox and a no parking sign at 2403 Madison St.
8 Construction equipment was stolen at 9:55 a.m. Jan. 15 from the northwest corner of the parking lot at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, 725 American Ave. Four bags of tan wirenuts and four bags of yellow wiring worth $200 was taken.
9 A caller at 12:25 a.m. Jan. 16 reported a possible noise complaint at an apartment at 222 E. Park Ave. The caller said it is an ongoing issue. Police responded to the nearby apartment to find a man washing dishes.
10 A man called police at 5:38 p.m. Jan. 16 at 156 Randall St. saying that his ex-wife's current boyfriend sent him a graphic photo of the two of them. The text was forwarded from an unknown person about a month ago. The caller was given options to obtain a restraining order or change his phone number.
11 A sedan was stuck in a snowbank at 6:27 p.m. Jan. 16 on the corner of Brook Street and East North Street. A tow was requested to remove the vehicle from the snowbank.
12 A woman reported that items were stolen from her house at 1251 Highpoint Lane. She called police at 6:29 p.m. Jan. 16 after realizing that her small safe was missing from her closet. The safe contained money, jewelry and pills. The woman thinks this was related to an earlier call in which the back door was kicked in. She declined to file a complaint as she thinks the incident might involve her daughter and boyfriend.
13 A man was removed from the Hebron House of Hospitality's men's overflow shelter, 1721 Northview Road, at 7:12 p.m. Jan. 16 after he threw food around and yelled at staff. Staff wanted him out of the facility.
14 Police found a woman lying in the snow at 8:33 p.m. Jan. 16 at Silvernail Road and North Grandview Boulevard. Police observed the woman, who was intoxicated, fall while attempting to walk down the sidewalk. She refused medical treatment and was taken home.
15 A man at 1500 Cottonwood Drive called police at 4:03 p.m. Jan. 17 after two people kept calling on behalf of Cash Advance saying he needs to pay a $500 loan he took out in March 2013. The man told police he never took out the loan.
16 A woman at 1602 S. Prairie Ave. called police at 5:03 p.m. Jan. 17 to report that her neighbor came after her with a shovel and hit her in the face with her hand. Both parties were separated. The women admitted to fighting in their shared driveway. According to the police log, both have past issues with each other due to a falling out they had years ago.
17 A caller reported at 11:07 a.m. Jan. 18 that during the night at 143 W. College Ave. mailboxes were knocked over.
18 A caller at 511 Oakmont Drive called police at 11:44 p.m. Jan. 18 to report a burglary in progress. With her husband out of town, the woman said she could hear someone in the house and that loud footsteps woke her up. However, police said nobody was ever seen, and the exterior was checked with no footprints in fresh snow. All doors to the residence were secure.
19 Four ice sculptures were smashed in downtown Waukesha just after midnight Jan. 19. The locations were at 294 W. Main St., on the corner of Maple Avenue and W. Main St., 730 N. Grand Ave. and 317 N. Grand Ave. The sculptures were part of the ice sculpting contest from the Waukesha JanBoree earlier in the day.
20 A report was filed of a drunken driver at 1:02 a.m. Jan. 19 in the 100 block of West North St. According to the police log, the driver was going the wrong way on North. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
