Police Report: Dec. 26

1 A resident at 1171 Burr Oak Blvd. #A called police at 12:44 p.m. Dec. 18 because their front step had been shoveled by an unknown person. They said it was not a neighbor and they think that it's strange.

2 A 2008 black Cadillac CTS sedan was reported stolen from Boucher, 1451 E. Moreland Blvd., at 12:05 p.m. Dec. 18.

3 Police were called to 3615 Applewood Drive at 3:38 a.m. Dec. 20 on a report of a man with a knife chasing another man.

4 Police were called at 12:53 a.m. Dec. 20 on a report of a suspicious woman who was running south on South Washington Avenue to Madison Street "in the middle of the road." Police located the woman who said she was out for a jog and on her way home to Mountain Village.

5 An owner of a vehicle parked at 241 South St. called police at 7:29 a.m. Dec. 19 to report their vehicle had been entered while parked on the second level of the parking ramp. They also wanted it noted that missing was an empty cardboard box.

6 A caller at 717 Motor Ave. called police at 3:55 a.m. Dec. 22 to report burglary of his basement storage locker. The caller said someone unscrewed the hinge on his storage locker and took an old staple gun, but did not take any staples that were with it. The caller said the theft could have actually happened in about a one-month time frame.

7 Police were called to 1721 Northview Road at 9:20 p.m. Dec. 21 on a report of a stabbing. A man came in with four stab wounds, in his thighs and buttocks.

8 Police were called to 1330 Pearl St. for a possible burglary in progress at 8:56 p.m. Dec. 21. The caller said a door was pried open with a pry bar. Police searched the area and didn't find anyone suspicious. The caller said they may have scared off whoever was trying to break in.

9 Police woke a man up sleeping in his car at 5:29 p.m. Dec. 21 at Frame Park, 1200 White Rock Ave. Police advised the man because he fell asleep with "hardcore porn" playing on his computer. The man said he was waiting to go to work. Police warned the man about watching porn in a public park.

10 A driver in the area of West St. Paul Avenue and West Sunset Drive called police at 11:10 p.m. Dec. 22 to report someone threw something at their windshield cracking it. The caller said she was behind the other vehicle which was talking to another vehicle. When the light turned green, the caller said she honked at the vehicles. She said this made "the other car angry" and they began to follow her. She claimed they then threw something at her windshield.

11 Police were called to a gas station at 114 E. Broadway at 6:12 a.m. Dec. 24 on a report of a suspicious person. The caller said there is a man sitting by the gas station "yelling for someone to help him and asking for hugs." Police found the man who said he just needed a ride home.

12 A resident at 1009 Madison St. called police at 9:26 p.m. Dec. 23 to report burglary. They said the basement door was kicked in and they found a crowbar laying on the ground. They didn't believe anything was missing.

13 A baby Jesus and Joseph were reported stolen from 2807 Windsor Place Dec. 23.
