Police Report: Dec. 19

1 Christmas decorations form 1218 Market Place were reported stolen overnight on Dec. 9.

2 A resident in an apartment building at 1516 Big Bend Road called police at 9:21 p.m. Dec. 11 to report his wallet had been stolen. He told police he used his wallet to prop his door open while he brought his groceries in.

3 Burglary was reported at 1330 Pearl St. at 6:33 a.m. Dec. 11. The caller said the back door was pried open and approximately $10,000 worth of copper is missing.

4 Police arrested a driver in the area of Sentry Drive and West Sunset Drive after witnesses reported them driving recklessly at 6:18 p.m. Dec. 13. The witness, a pizza delivery driver, said the vehicle was swerving in traffic and almost struck several parked vehicles. When police pulled the driver over, they refused to participate in a field sobriety test. They blood-alcohol content, according to the dispatch log, was .196.

5 A resident at 1810 Kensington Drive called police at 4:38 p.m. Dec. 13 to report a missing picture. However, they did not to report the item stolen, just that it was missing.

6 A man at 74 Columbia Ave. called police after he received a suspicious text message at 12:14 p.m. Dec. 13. The man told police the text message read, "Can you give me a description of the 3 girls you have?" Police made contact with the man who sent the text who said he was responding to a "Miss Chocolate" ad from a Milwaukee website. The ad was for adult entertainment and the number did match except for the area code. The man accidentally used a 262 area code for Miss Chocolate when he should have used 414 causing the confusion.

7 A caller in the area of East Newhall Avenue and Tenny Avenue called police at 8:55 a.m. Dec. 15 to report a suspicious person. They said someone "dressed in a USPS outfit" is trying to deliver a package. The caller thought it was odd because it was a Sunday morning.

8 Police were called to 1438 Josephine St. at 6:47 p.m. Dec. 16 for two neighbors fighting. According to the dispatch log, a neighbor who lives at the corner of Manhattan Drive and Josephine was yelling at the caller about a parking issue while he was outside over issues with parking and the snow. Police mediated the situation and each apologized.

9 A shopper at 2401 Kossow Road called police at 5:17 p.m. Dec. 16 after their wallet was stolen out of their purse while they were in the store.

10 Theft was reported at Boucher Cadillac Buick GMC, 2145 E. Moreland Blvd., at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 16. The caller said two Cadillac Escalades had tires and rims taken and headlights and tail lights were also reported missing from a Mercedes.
