Police Report: Jan. 17
Information taken from reports filed by the Waukesha Police Department
1 A caller in the 1700 block of South West Avenue reported around 9 a.m. Jan. 5 that her boyfriend was trying "to break into the apartment" after she broke up with him.
2 A caller in the 100 block of Manchester Drive reported around noon Jan. 5 that a "juvenile (was) driving around and collecting dead Christmas trees from the neighborhood and piling them up in her neighbor's yard."
3 A red pickup truck reportedly struck a telephone pole near Tenny and East College avenues around 5:30 p.m. Jan. 5. One passenger was bleeding from the head. Several accidents were reported around this time.
4 A black sedan was reported in a ditch near Fox River Parkway and South Highway 59 around 6:45 p.m. Jan. 5.
5 A caller reported around 7:20 p.m. Jan. 5 that he was "jumped" at Mutt's Bar, 214 E. Main St. The caller was reportedly "extremely intoxicated at the time of the incident and believes he was knocked out."
6 A caller in the 1900 block of South West Avenue reported around 7 p.m. Jan. 5 that the caller's "door was kicked in … (and a) purse and air hockey table (were) stolen."
7 A man was arrested on battery charges after a report of domestic violence around 12:10 a.m. Jan. 6 in the 1400 block of Big Bend Road.
8 A "highly intoxicated" female was "soaking wet, lying in the slush and snow" around 1:30 a.m. Jan. 6 in the 1200 block of South Grandview Boulevard. The woman was waiting to be picked up by her mother, who had been driving around looking for her daughter for more than an hour.
9 Eggs and syrup were thrown at a house and car in the 2800 block of Minot Lane and reported on Jan. 6.
10 A minivan reportedly struck a tree around 3 p.m. Jan. 6 near East Laflin and South Greenfield avenues.
11 A passerby reported a broken water main in the 1300 block of South West Avenue around 4 p.m. Jan. 6.
12 A manager in an apartment building in the 100 block of Cambridge Avneue reported that some tenants were smoking pot around 8:20 p.m. Jan. 6. Police reported "there was a marijuana-esque smell, however only flavored tobacco was located around a hookah."
13 A Coach purse and winter coat" were reportedly stolen from a vehicle in the 2500 block of Plaza Court. It was reported 11 p.m. Jan.
14 A resident in the 300 block of West Newhall Avenue was cited by mail after a complaint of "loud music and banging" around 3:15 a.m. Jan. 7.
15 A woman reportedly came "to the door with a baseball bat" after a neighbor came to her apartment in the 200 block of South Grand Avenue to complain about the "smell of THC … and loud music" around 1 p.m. Jan. 7.
16 A caller in the 100 block of South Grand Avenue reported around 9:20 p.m. Jan. 7 that her door was kicked and she "was attacked by (a) neighbor's boyfriend." Police determined that parties in two apartments were involved in a "mutual fight."
17 Water was reported "coming out of (a) window" of an unoccupied home in the 600 block of North Hartwell Avenue around 11 p.m. Jan. 7. The fire department shut off the water to the house and WE Energies shut off the power. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful.
18 Two cash drawers were reportedly broken into at 1801 Pewaukee Road around 8 a.m. Jan. 8.
19 A caller in the 100 block of South Grand Avenue reported around 9:20 a.m. Jan. 8 that neighbors "slashed the caller's tires this morning."
20 An elderly female was reportedly "growing (a) hemotoma on (her) arm" after her vehicle was involved in an accident with another vehicle around 1:40 p.m. Jan. 8 in the 700 block of West Moreland Boulevard.
21 A caller reported smelling marijuana coming from a vehicle parked in an alley between Oakdale and Wisteria near the corner around 3:30 p.m. Jan. 8.
22 A house in the 2800 block of River Point Court reportedly sustained $5,000 worth of damage when it was vandalized by eggs around 5 a.m. Jan. 6. It was reported around 5:40 p.m. Jan. 8.
23 A caller in the 1100 block of Burr Oak Boulevard reported around 9 p.m. Jan. 8 that a GPS was taken from her vehicle and "her tire was flat and bolts were loose."
24 A caller in the 300 block of Harrison Avenue reported around 10 p.m. Jan. 8 that the windshield of the caller's brother's vehicle was "smashed in."
25 A caller in the 1400 block of Big Bend Road reported around 10:30 p.m. Jan. 8 that someone she knew was "putting drugs and money in her mailbox" to be picked up.
26 A caller in the 100 block of East Main Street reported around 10:30 a.m. Jan. 9 that "someone has been breaking in during the night (and) … there is damage inside the building."
27 A too box and power saw were reportedly stolen from a pickup truck in a lot at 909 Blackstone Ave. around 11:30 a.m. Jan.9.
28 A man and woman were being treated for injuries in an emergency room after a domestic disturbance around 4 p.m. Jan. 9 in the 300 block of West Newhall Avenue.
29 A woman in the 200 block of East St. Paul Avenue reported around 10:30 p.m. Jan. 10 that a man threatened to kill her if she didn't go on a date with him.
30 A new tenant at 1319 Poplar Drive called around 1 a.m. Jan. 11 to report that "people (will be) setting the business up during all hours over the next few weeks." A Direct TV center is being set up.
