Sadly, no.

Jimmy's Grotto isn't shipping its ponza rottas — the golden, crescent-shaped, calzone-type creation that is loaded with sauce, cheese and pizza toppings — said owner Doug Ciampa.

It is, however, something he has considered.

Ciampa said there may be federal regulations that come into play when shipping the ponzas across state lines, and it's something he needs to learn more about before shipping them could become a reality.

That isn't preventing the extremely popular ponza rottas from flying out of the restaurant, though.

Ciampa estimates that 2,500 are sold per week.

"Jimmy's Grotto opened in 1946," Ciampa said. "The restaurant started making ponza rottas in 1977. It's been in business for quite awhile."

Jimmy's Grotto, 314 E. Main St., is open from 9 a.m. to midnight Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
