WAUKESHA

Battery

Police are seeking charges against a 27-year-old Waukesha man on suspicion of battery and obstruction. An officer was on patrol when a bouncer from Sporties, 333 W. Sunset Drive, flagged him down at 11:59 p.m. Jan. 5. The bouncer told police that the 27-year-old man was asked to leave the bar but then returned a short time later and punched the bouncer in the face. Police said the 27-year-old man also gave them a false name.

Burglary

Someone entered a home in the 100 block of S. Grandview Blvd. before 10:56 p.m. Jan. 7 and stole a DVD/VCR combination player. A safe was also moved and placed on top of the bed. No entry was made into the safe. The loss was estimated at $60.

Disorderly conduct

Police arrested a 44-year-old Waukesha man on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Police were called to Select Inn, 2510 Plaza Court, at 12:38 a.m. Jan. 5 for a report of a man knocking on hotel room doors. Police located the man, who was intoxicated, passed out in a hotel room and left him there to sleep. A short while later police returned to the hotel because the man was again knocking on hotel room doors.

Police arrested a 49-year-old Waukesha man on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Police said the man went to Casa Del Rio, 408 E. Main St., at 8:38 p.m. Jan. 5 and pushed an employee after he was told he would not be served because he was too intoxicated.

A 35-year-old Waukesha man was given a ticket alleging disorderly conduct at 2:18 a.m. Jan. 6. An officer on patrol noticed several people involved in an argument outside of Hammer's Landing, 362 W. Main St. Police said the man, who was intoxicated, was yelling because the bar refused to serve him. Police said the man was asked to stop yelling, but he did not.

Police gave a ticket to a 17-year-old Waukesha boy alleging disorderly conduct. Police received a report at 4:15 p.m. Jan. 6 that a male was urinating in the backyard of a residence in the 200 block of Albert St. Police said a witness identified the boy.

Drug possession

Police arrested a 19-year-old Waukesha man on suspicion of drug possession at 11:42 p.m. Jan. 5 at Elders St. and N. Moreland Blvd. Police said they stopped the man's car on suspicion of driving erratically and then the driver began to act suspiciously. Police found brass knuckles in the man's car. Police are seeking charges against the man on suspicion of concealed weapons.

Fraud

A man reported to police at 3:28 p.m. Jan. 5 that he had received two bills from a company he had not contracted with. The bills, which were past due, stated he owed $548.

Theft

Police said an employee removed two rolls of copper, worth $400, from Cooper Power Systems, 1900 E. North St., before 7:27 a.m. Jan. 5.

Someone stole a license plate from a Lincoln Town Car parked at Sunset Bowl, 333 W. Sunset Drive, before 11:05 p.m. Jan. 4.

A teacher at Meadowbrook School, 3130 Rolling Ridge Drive, reported at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 5 that someone stole $200 in cash from her purse after she left it unintended in her classroom.

A 42-year-old man was given a ticket alleging retail theft. Police said the man was observed trying to conceal a bottle of brandy while in the liquor department at Pick 'n Save, 220 E. Sunset Drive, at 8:32 p.m. Jan. 5. When confronted, police found the man had stolen $13 worth of food and a $19 bottle of brandy.

A man reported that his 2003 Chevrolet Impala was stolen from his driveway in the 400 block of Hyde Park before 2:18 a.m. Jan. 6. Milwaukee police located the damaged vehicle in an impound lot. The loss was estimated at $10,000.

A man reported someone stole a handgun from his vehicle as it was parked in the 300 block of Rivera Drive before 5:07 p.m. Jan. 6. The loss was estimated at $500.

A man reported at 6:57 p.m. Jan. 6 that someone stole his library card and acquired $200 in late fees for seven DVDs that were checked out using his card.

Someone broke into three cars parked at a home in the 400 block of Carpenter Place before 1:02 p.m. Jan. 7. A stroller was taken from a 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage and was found hanging on a fence in a neighbor's yard. Two or three Spanish CDs were stolen from a 1994 Crown Victoria. A third car, a 1992 Geo Metro, did not have anything stolen from it. The loss of the CDs were estimated at $50.

A man reported that several tanks of oxygen and hydrogen were stolen from the curb outside his home in the 100 block of McCall St. before 8:19 p.m. Jan. 7. The loss was estimated at $1,300.

Vandalism

Someone spray painted graffiti on the side of Heyer Elementary School, 1209 Heyer Drive, before 9:24 a.m. Jan. 5. The damage was estimated at $1,000.

Police arrested a 59-year-old Milwaukee man on suspicion of vandalism. Police received a report of a man dismantling equipment behind Famous Dave's, 2137 E. Moreland Blvd., at 2:10 p.m. Jan. 5. When police arrived, the man had the equipment loaded into his vehicle. Police said the man told them he thought the equipment was scrap metal and was dismantling it to sell the items. Police arrested the man on suspicion of vandalism days later. Police said the man did $5,000 worth of damage to the equipment.

A man reported at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 5 that his 1999 Chevrolet pickup was damaged while parked at O'Rourke Distributing, 303 Sentry Drive, and would not start. The fuel pump relay and starter were damaged, causing a loss of $110.

Someone threw a rock and broke a large window of a home in the 500 block of N. East Ave. before 11:20 p.m. The damage was estimated at $200.

Twelve decorative lamps were broken outside of a home in the 1800 block of Rexford Lane before 1:41 a.m. Jan. 7. The damage was estimated at $300.

Someone damaged the windshield and hood of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado truck while it was parked in the 200 block of S. Greenfield Ave. before 7:41 a.m. Jan. 7. The damage was estimated at $900.

Someone used a rock to smash the windshield of a 2002 Jeep Liberty before 10:27 a.m. Jan. 7 while it was parked in the 900 block of N. Greenfield Ave. The damage was estimated at $500.
