The Plan Commission on Feb. 19 unanimously approved site and building changes so an Associated Bank can move into the site currently occupied by Peking House (a Chinese restaurant) at 2815 N. Grandview Blvd. on the city's northwest side.

Doug Koehler, a planner for the City of Waukesha, said developers for Associated Bank will relandscape the entire site around the building and upgrade a new entryway with stone facade. The red-brick exterior of the building will also be repainted to coincide with the bank's color scheme.

"(Associated Bank) is not going to need all of the parking, so they'll make it more into a green space for parking, which we always like to see in the city," Koehler said. "A lot of the landscape is quite overgrown. It seems like it was neglected."

The building currently has a drive-through, but Associated Bank will repurpose it to meet the bank's standards.

Developers will also repave the parking lot.
