Rep. Adam Neylon, R-Pewaukee, has announced he is seeking re-election to his 98th Assembly District seat in the state Legislature.
Neylon, who emerged from a five-person Republican field last year, was elected to the Assembly in April 2013 during a special election. There was no Democratic challenger.
He replaced Rep. Paul Farrow, who was voted into the 33rd State Senate District seat in December 2012.
"Since (I was elected) I've worked diligently to represent (my constituents') views in Madison," Neylon said in a news release. "Together with Gov. Walker and our Republican leadership, we've improved our state's business climate, cut property and income taxes and made Wisconsin a better place to live, work and raise a family.
If re-elected, Neylon said his priorities are simple.
"Eliminate unnecessary red tape for businesses, work with Walker to create the best educational system in the nation, continue to put more money back in the pockets of hard working Wisconsinites and homeowners, protect our civil liberties and fight for the unborn at all costs," he said.
The 98th Assembly District consists of Pewaukee, Sussex, the northern half of the city of Waukesha and a small portion of Lisbon.
Neylon is the owner and president of the Neylon Group, a commercial window cleaning company in Waukesha.
Before elected to the state Legislature, Neylon spent five years working for U.S. Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner and Rep. Bill Kramer, who is not seeking re-election to his District 97 seat in November.
