The Wings over Waukesha Air Show event was canceled this year due to the construction at the Waukesha County Airport.
But another smaller event, nonetheless, is being hosted at the airport.
The Waukesha County Airport's Lighter-Than-Air Show is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14.
The free event celebrates the lighter aspects of aviation through demonstrations, hot air balloon and helicopter rides, food and music.
Radio controlled aircraft demonstrations and displays, as well as helicopter rides (for an additional fee) are scheduled for Saturday.
WindDancer Balloon Promotions will then host an evening balloon launch from the airfield. After the balloons lift off, there will be music throughout the evening.
On Sunday, there will also be a hot air balloon launch at dawn, helicopter rides and a pancake breakfast on the airfield ($8 for adults, $5 children ages 6-12, and free for children ages 5 and younger) from 7-11 a.m.
WindDancer Balloon Promotions is offering special event pricing for hot air balloon rides during the event. People can ride in the hot air balloons for one hour at $225 per person.
