Waukesha Police Report: Aug. 21, 2014 issue

1 A GPS and radar detector were stolen from a vehicle at 1365 Josephine St. prior to 7:08 a.m. Aug. 7. The window was shattered for entry.

2 Police were called to Dierks Waukesha Foods, 900 Gale St., for a man sitting in a silver Honda for several hours around 8 p.m. Aug. 7. Police learned the man is an employee at Dierks and was completing work orders before his shift begins.

3 A caller reported a neighbor was shooting at squirrels with some type of gun at 116 W. Sunset Drive at 8:09 p.m. Aug. 7. The neighbor said he has been doing so for some time in an effort to keep squirrels out of his garden. He was advised that shooting an air rifle in city limits is illegal.

4 A person was seen swerving all over the road with no headlights on her vehicle and shining a spotlight into people's yard on the corner of Delafield Street and West Washington Avenue at 1:15 a.m. Aug. 8. Police learned that the driver was actually driving around looking for her lost dog, a brown shih tzu.

5 A woman said a man with brown "scraggly" hair, carrying a bottle of alcohol and either a pole or a stick, came up to her patio door at 2111 Kensington Drive at 2:16 a.m. Aug. 8 and asked if she was home alone.

6 Nacho cheese was thrown all over car parked at 2906 Skyline Court prior to 5:38 a.m. Aug. 8. The homeowner also said that his house was littered with toilet-paper earlier in the week.

7 A man said his wife tried to kill him at 1109 Guthrie Road at 1:17 p.m. Aug. 8. She has a knife and he locked her in the bedroom. The husband said there is a shotgun in the house and said if she tries getting out of the bedroom he would shoot her. He then put the gun in an upstairs locker.

8 A handicap placard was stolen from a vehicle at 100 E. Main St. at 4:51 p.m. Aug. 8.

9 A person was reportedly selling drugs out of their vehicle in the back parking lot at 200 W. North St. at 6:13 p.m. Aug. 8.

10 A caller reported a female child was crying for help in the 300 block of E. Newhall Ave. at 7 p.m. Aug. 8. Police made contact with several houses and only found a 2-year-old throwing a temper tantrum in the backyard of one house and a 3-year-old crying because a wiffle ball bumped him in the head at another residence.

11 A woman called police because there was an unresponsive male at her residence at 320 E. Main St. and she allegedly could not wake him up. When police arrived, the man was simply sleeping in a chair next to the woman, who was extremely intoxicated and "had a hard time explaining much of anything."

12 A caller's daughter was beat up by another female at Friday Night Live, 200 block of Main St., prior to 10:34 p.m. Aug. 8.

13 A man broke into a vehicle at the Municipal Parking Ramp, 241 South St., prior to 2:20 a.m. Aug. 9. Only change was stolen.

14 An intoxicated man was "stuck in his brother's car" and kept honking the horn, saying "I just want to get out of the car. I can't get out of the car" at 500 Bell St. at 3:46 a.m. Aug. 9. He told police that he fell asleep in the car.

15 A black handgun was stolen from a vehicle at 1111 Delafield St. prior to 9:21 a.m. Aug. 9.

16 A larger planter was stolen from a front porch at 1136 Green Valley Drive overnight Aug. 8-9.

17 A caller complained three times about a residence in the 2200 block of Woodhill Way where there was a loud party. Police saw that it was a "Hawaiian-themed" party at which most of the neighborhood was present and that the noise was excessive. The caller said once police left they turned up the music.

18 Two people with masks covering their faces were seen stealing copper and nickel from J&L Fiber Services, 831 Progress Ave., at 4 a.m. Aug. 10.

19 A house was egged at 420 N. University Drive prior to 9:29 a.m. Aug. 10.

20 A shirtless man wearing a blazer was seen flipping people off as they walk by him at 1808 W. St. Paul Ave. prior to 3:37 p.m. Aug. 10. He has been at this location since 5 a.m. but just started causing problems.

21 A woman was caught shoplifting at the Walmart Supercenter, 2000 S. West Ave., at 6:22 a.m. Aug. 11.

22 Six juveniles between the ages 5 and 8 were going into people's mailboxes and throwing the mail all over the road in the 1800 block of Kensington Drive prior to 6:56 p.m. Aug. 11.

23 A caller said he was threatened by an old friend came at his residence at 2011 Dixie Drive at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11. After a verbal argument ensued and property was damaged, the friend allegedly said he was coming back in a week to "shoot up the house."

24 A man was seen lying on a cement slab on the "edge of the waterfall" on the west side of the river at 234 W. Main St. around 9:56 p.m. Aug. 11. Police located the man, who said he was intoxicated and tired from a hard day's work.

25 A purse was stolen from a locked vehicle at 1114 Anoka Ave. prior to 9:07 a.m. Aug. 12.

26 Tools and a pressure washer were stolen from an unlocked construction trailer at 620 Progress Ave. prior to 9:29 a.m. Aug. 12.

27 A caller's granddaughter punched her multiple times in the face and chest over an argument about her boyfriend at 210 Wisconsin Ave. around 6:30 p.m. Aug. 12.

28 A caller wanted a man removed from his apartment at 134 W. North St. around 9:20 p.m. Aug. 12. The intoxicated man had passed out and urinated on the caller's carpet for the second straight day.

29 A house at 1832 Deer Path was vandalized prior to 6:17 a.m. Aug. 13. It was littered with toilet paper and egged, plus a flag was torn and screens were broken.

30 A vehicle's front license plate was bent and damaged in an underground garage at 1800 Shepherd Court prior to 11:04 a.m. Aug. 13.

31 Kool-Aid and soda were thrown over a car at 2918 Brook Ridge Court North prior to 12:51 p.m. Aug. 13.

32 A caller said male friend who came to her house at 431 Baird St. struck her in the face at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 13.

33 A caller believed a female was smoking drugs in her car at 414 W. Moreland Blvd. at 4:11 p.m. Aug. 13. Deputies did not find any evidence or odor in the car and the woman told officers she was there for drug testing.

34 A house at 934 N. Greenfield Ave. was broken into and its windows were smashed prior to 4:27 p.m. Aug. 13.

35 A silver-and-light-blue mountain bike was stolen from outside a building at 210 N. Grand Ave. prior to 11:16 p.m. Aug. 13.
