Waukesha Police Report: Aug. 14, 2014 issue

1 A caller reported excessively loud music coming from a Jeep Cherokee at an apartment at 405 N. Moreland Blvd. at 12:35 p.m. July 31. Police just found a man listening to Bob Dylan music while cleaning his car. Police said the music was moderately loud and the man turned it down to a reasonable level.

2 One man was bleeding from his ear after a physical altercation with another man at the Hope Center, 502 N. East Ave., at 1:15 p.m. July 31.

3 A woman's wallet, cellphone and credit cards were stolen from her shopping cart at Pick 'n Save, 1535 E. Moreland Blvd., at 3:20 p.m. July 31.

4 After several customer complaints, The Steaming Cup, 340 W. Main St., called police around 3:30 p.m. July 31 after a man yelled profanities as he was walking down Main Street.

5 Police were called to 2002 Cardinal Drive, where a 13-year-old boy was reportedly touching his 5-year-old sister "inappropriately" at 5:40 p.m. July 31.

6 A 23-year-old intoxicated man was found passed out in front of a yard at 1507 Erin Lane at 12:08 a.m. Aug. 1. He was unconscious and taken to the intensive care unit at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

7 Electricians' items were taken at Bosco's Social Club, 260 W. Main St., overnight July 31-Aug. 1.

8 A baby was found in the roadway on the corner of Marshall Street and North Prairie Avenue at 11:52 a.m. Aug. 1. The baby's parents said one of their other children left the door open and the baby snuck out.

9 A laptop computer was stolen from a man's truck at 310 Sheffield Road prior to 12:20 p.m. Aug. 1.

10 A 7-year-old boy was hit by a dump truck at 1821 Mapleton Court around 4:50 p.m. Aug. 1. The boy's legs got caught under the truck.

11 A man was seen punching mailboxes and a vehicle at 1721 Oakdale Drive at 11:25 p.m. Aug. 1.

12 People inside a vehicle were throwing eggs at a person outside of Denny's, 2801 N. Grandview Blvd., at 12:57 a.m. Aug. 2.

13 A woman shoved another woman's head into the bathroom wall at Fox Run Lanes, 2440 W. Sunset Drive, at 2 a.m. Aug. 2. The victim reportedly had a broken nose.

14 An electrical fire started in the basement of a a home at 2007 Summit Ave. at 12:40 p.m. Aug. 2. The fire was quickly contained, and there were no injuries reported.

15 A caller complained of a loud mariachi band in the area of South Highway 59 and East Sunset Drive at 10:14 p.m. Aug. 2.

16 Two females were smashing bottles in the street at 116 Cook St. at 11:16 p.m. Aug. 2.

17 A purse was stolen from a woman's car at the Country Springs Hotel, 2810 Golf Road., prior to 8:49 a.m. Aug. 3. A window was broken for entry.

18 A female's foot was injured when a man threw a beer can at her at 501 Lake St. at 11:50 a.m. Aug. 3.

19 Waukesha Mixed Martial Arts, 1111 S. West Ave., was broken into prior to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 3.

20 A man wanted police to bring a police dog to his house in the 400 block of North Grandview Blvd. at 5:20 p.m. Aug. 3 to help him find his lost medication. Police told him they would not be able to provide such a service.

21 A man threatened the caller with a knife at 419 Richard St. at 6:22 p.m. Aug. 3 because he wouldn't lend him money for drugs.

22 A woman threw a beer can and attempted to bite the caller at an apartment at 1165 White Rock Ave. at 11:10 p.m. Aug. 3.

23 A woman said an argument with a man turned physical at 2103 Springbrook St. at 12:57 a.m. Aug. 4. The man said the two were mostly grabbing at each other, but the woman said he choked her and dragged her by the neck, and that she feel down some steps.

24 Sunglasses, an iPad and iPod were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 503 S. Comanche Lane prior to 7:16 a.m. Aug. 4.

25 Credit cards were stolen from an unlocked car at 639 Crestwood Drive prior to 9:14 a.m. Aug. 4.

26 A caller said he could hear neighbors arguing and pounding on the wall in the 100 block of West Broadway at 12:31 p.m. Aug. 4. . Police learned the argument between a man and woman was over whether to leave the back entry door open or closed.

27 A front window was smashed by a golf ball at 217 Wisconsin Ave. prior to 1:11 p.m. Aug. 4.

28 A man urinated in front of the property at 202 E. Broadway at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 4.

29 A caller said a woman and her daughter have been harassing her, leaving notes on her disabled mother's vehicle saying to "park better," at 1861 Meadow Lane prior to 8 p.m. Aug. 4.

30 A man called police to report his neighbor was talking and showering too loud at an apartment at 323 Born Place at 11:30 p.m. Aug. 4. The caller felt it was an unreasonable time for people to be awake. But police told him this is a consequence of apartment living. Police did not hear any noise to the apartment in question.

31 A city Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department employee called police after a 7-year-old girl refused to come down from a tree at Lowell Park, 2201 Michigan Ave., around 12:30 p.m. Aug. 5. Officers assisted the child down.

32 A cognitively disabled man was exposing his genitals outside a caller's apartment window at 411 N. Moreland Blvd. at 6:04 p.m. Aug. 5.

33 Four teenagers were seen smashing watermelons in the street and being noisy at 215 E. Park Ave. at 11:08 p.m. Aug. 5. Police didn't find any signs of watermelons.

34 A caller reported that firecrackers and eggs were thrown onto their vehicles and driveway at 2911 Willard Lane at 11:56 p.m. Aug. 5. The driveway was also spray-painted.

35 A caller reported a man wearing all black and a "gothic" T-shirt walking with two young children on the corner of Carroll Street and North East Avenue at 12:38 p.m. Aug. 6. The caller felt it was suspicious because "there are a lot of predators in the area."

36 A memorial bronze statue was stolen from the caller's yard at 1208 E. Racine Ave. prior to 12:40 p.m. Aug. 6.

37 A man, who appeared intoxicated or on drugs, was urinating on the Easter Seals Waukesha Adult Day Center, 201 Wisconsin Ave., at 3:12 p.m. Aug. 6. He then passed out behind the building.

38 A car was broken into in the underground parking garage at 804 Riverwalk Drive prior to 7:06 p.m. Aug. 6.

39 A person reported being harassed and yelled at by her neighbor for walking her dogs down the street at 1522 E. Roberta Ave. at 8:41 p.m. Aug. 6.

40 Four people called police after hearing a man scream at Cutler Park, 321 Wisconsin Ave., at 9:03 p.m. Aug. 6. The man told police he was just excited about having a winning scratch-off lottery ticket.
