Police Report: Feb. 13

1 A man at 1225 The Strand called police at 1:35 p.m. Feb. 4 to report harassment. He said he met a woman on Facebook and Skyped with her while nude, but the woman threatened to post the nude video of him online if he didn't pay $300.

2 A burglary in progress was reported at 2:40 p.m. Feb. 4 at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Clinton Street. The caller said a man was trying to break into a blue mailbox using a blow torch and hammer. When police arrived, no one was at the mailbox. Another witness said it was a postal worker repairing the box.

3 A resident at 1108 Gertrude Street called police at 8:05 a.m. Feb. 5 to report between $40 and $50 worth of change was taken from his home. The man said someone entered an unlocked side door to his house between 5 and 6 p.m. the day before and took the change from his house, including an empty windshield wiper jug. He said the change was gone but the jug was left there. The caller said there were many valuables in the home that were not taken including a laptop, alcohol and credit cards.

4 A caller reported seeing a group of juveniles smoking marijuana in a vehicle at 5:18 p.m. Feb. 5 at 515 W. Moreland Blvd.

5 A resident at 1505 Swartz Drive called police at 7:52 p.m. Feb. 5 to report a burglary. The caller said someone unscrewed the dead bolt on their front door. They didn't report seeing anyone or that anything was missing.

6 A woman at 304 Hillview Circle called police at 8:56 p.m. Feb. 5 to report harassment. The woman said she received a call from a veteran's group asking for donations. She said after telling the caller she was not interested, they called her a "b----" and threatened to call back on a daily basis.

7 A burglary was reported at 4:56 p.m. Feb. 6 at 426 Carpenter Place when the caller's brother's ex-girlfriend broke into his house. According to the police log, he saw her doing it when he came home.

8 A caller reported at 7:15 p.m. Feb. 6 at 1200 Adams Street that someone the previous night stole his girlfriend's tire from her car and received a text message saying "this is only the beginning." A complaint wasn't filed, but the parties were advised to start documenting, in detail, any strange incidents or happenings.

9 An attempted burglary was reported at 7:55 p.m. Feb. 6 at 1208 Cavalier Drive. The caller said he was walking to his garage and saw a man trying to get into his side door. The caller said the man got into a truck and headed north on Cavalier.

10 A caller reported at 2:25 a.m. Feb. 7 that a man was pounding on their apartment door and screaming "let me in" at 2811 N. University Drive. He was also swearing and kicking the door. The caller had no idea who the man was and said he was "pretty violent." He also threw things at the window.

11 A ladder was reported stolen at 9:05 a.m. Feb. 7 at 1821 Meadow Lane.

12 A theft was reported at a residence at 2:40 p.m. Feb. 7 at 208 S. James St. A woman called police to report two large bags of aluminum cans and an old metal frame were taken from her yard. The woman called back saying another metal bin with metal scraps has gone missing since she called the first time. She called again stating that while she was home, the inside of a refrigerator was taken. She told police she will install security cameras.

13 Police responded to an apartment complex at 3:14 p.m. Feb. 7 at 532 Bluemound Road for a fight over stolen Vicodin. The altercation took place in the front of the complex's office. The caller believes the suspect was trying to get rid of his pills and asked the caller if he wanted to buy some Vicodin and a maintenance worker was struck in the face. The suspect says the occupants in the apartment pulled a machete on him and cut him with a switchblade. The caller was separated from the suspect and states that there is crack "everywhere." The caller has taken prescription medications.

14 A manager of an apartment complex at 806 Scott Avenue called police to report a fight at 12:40 a.m. Feb. 8.

15 Disorderly conducted was reported at 1:47 a.m. Feb. 8 at Boscos Social Club, 260 W. Main St. According to the police log, there was a dispute between four men in the bathroom. The bouncer removed them from the bar. One man said to the bouncer that he should "shut up or get shot up" and that he was going to come back for everyone in the bar. A bartender told police a fight had occurred but he did not see any of it. When the subject was removed, he made a reference to a gun. The bar staff recognized him and said he is no longer welcome at the bar.

16 Police responded to a fight at 2:11 a.m. Feb. 8 at 280 W. Broadway in downtown Waukesha. The police log says one man was shoved into Sloppy Joe's Soda Fountain and broke the door.

17 A woman contacted police at 9:11 a.m. Feb. 8 at 2109 Kensington Drive to report being harassed on the bus.

18 A caller reported at 8:32 p.m. Feb. 8 that a driver at the corner of Meadowbrook Road and Summit Avenue was on the wrong side of the road.

19 A caller reported at 9:21 p.m. Feb. 8 that a vehicle is parked in a parking lot at 1900 Pewaukee Road. Police found a homeless sex offender in the vehicle who said he had no place to go. He was sleeping in the vehicle at the Waukesha Probation and Parole Office because his probation officer "unofficially" said that would be the best place to sleep because there were cameras and it was well lit. The police log says he was unable to go to any of the area shelters because of his sex offender status. The man was told to park in a different area of the lot where he was not directly in front of any businesses. He was also advised of other options for possible housing.
