Police Report: Sept. 12

1 A caller at 316 Baird St. called police at 7:43 p.m. Sept. 3 to report a man taking photos of them and the people they were with. When the man saw that the caller noticed him, they said he "panicked" and threw a bunch of camera stuff in his car and left. Police were unable to locate the man and his vehicle described as a teal/blue SUV, but told the caller and their family to call if anything else happened.

2 A man playing an online game at 301 S. Hine Ave. called police at 3:58 p.m. Sept. 3 to report harassment. The man said another player said, "If I had your voice I would kill myself." When the man reported this to the website operators, they told him to contact local authorities. Police advised the man it was not a crime and to contact the website to resolve the matter.

3 A caller at 1800 Kensington Drive reported a possible attempted break-in at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 3. The caller said the screen to her window appears cut and it was not like that the day before.

4 An employee at 220 E. Sunset Drive called police at 11:56 a.m. Sept. 3 to report they found a bag of marijuana under a crate on Sept. 1.

5 Theft of money from an unlocked truck at 900 Magnolia Drive was reported at 10:21 a.m. Sept. 3.

6 Burglary was reported at 9:36 p.m. Sept. 4 at a storage locker at 2410 Springdale Road. The caller said the locker was entered sometime in the last few days. The hinges were removed from the door and tools were taken.

7 Indecent exposure was reported at 1718 Manhattan Drive at 8:14 p.m. Sept. 5. The caller reported a man masturbating in his car.

8 A moped was reported stolen at 12:01 a.m. Sept. 9 from an unlocked garage at 309 Cambridge Ave.

9 Two lawnmowers, a snow blower and weed eater were reported stolen at 10:10 a.m. Sept. 8 from a locked shed at 121 Wisconsin Ave.

10 A man spit in a cab driver's face and pushed him after refusing to pay fare that was owed at 102 W. Broadway at 3 a.m. Sept. 8. Police located the man and arrested him.

11 Police responded to a call from Carroll University security that apprehended six people who had a gram of marijuana on them at 135 S. East Ave. at 12:42 a.m. Sept. 8.

12 Police were dispatched to a fight at 260 W. Main St. at 11:11 p.m. Sept. 7. Bouncers were attempting to kick a man out and he started a fight with them and the caller said they were now physically fighting in the back patio.

13 Windshield wipers were reported stolen from 240 N. Barstow St. at 6:19 p.m. Sept. 7.

14 Police responded to a call of harassment at 1848 Waterview Lane at 3:15 p.m. Sept. 7. One man claimed he we receiving threatening tweets. Police reviewed the tweets and reported both men were sending antagonizing tweets to one another, but nothing threatening. Both me were advised to cease and desist all contact on social media sites.

15 An employee at Walmart, 2000 S. West Ave. reported $297.34 worth of items were taken yesterday and they have a video of the suspect.

16 A woman walking in an alley between Spring Street and Hyde Park on Sept. 7 around noon said two teenage boys came out of a house and one lifted up his shirt showing a gun.

17 Police were dispatched to a theft in progress at the railroad tracks at 1301 S. West Ave. at 10:38 a.m. Sept. 7. Two men were allegedly stealing railroad ties. They were gone when police arrived.

18 Police were dispatched at 10:17 p.m. Sept. 6 on a report of a topless woman walking around in the area of Wisconsin Avenue and Barstow Street. When police arrived they found everyone clothed but that one woman was wearing a revealing top and all three women were on their way to a nearby bar.

19 Police were dispatched to a shot fired at 2510 Plaza Court at 9:03 p.m. Sept. 9. When police arrived they discovered the suspect discharged the gun on accident, a bullet went through the wall of #138 to #140.

20 Theft of a license plate from a vehicle at 701 Morgan Ave. was reported at 5:12 p.m. Sept. 6.

21 Two crates of ice cream were returned to their owner after being reported as possibly stolen from 322 E. Main St. at 4:37 p.m. Sept. 6. Police located the crates nearby at a house on Caroline Street and returned them to the caller. They had no proof anyone at the Caroline address was involved in the theft.

22 Theft of tools from a job site at 710 E. College Ave. was reported at 2:54 p.m. Sept. 6.

23 Theft of a motorized scooter from 1001 Delafield St. was reported at 1:29 p.m. Sept. 6.

24 Police were called at 10:48 a.m. Sept. 6 on a report that a car at 206 Carroll St. just had a brick thrown through its back window and a male on a bike wearing black hoodie was seen riding toward Grand Avenue.

25 A resident at 808 Pleasant St. reported damage to a concrete pillar and a broken bottle in their driveway at 9:57 a.m. Sept. 6. They said this is the second time there has been damage done to their property.

26 A resident at 2216 Patricia Lane called police at 4:58 a.m. Sept. 10 after finding a man in his car when he let his dog out. The man said he was "looking for change" and left heading south on Patricia.

The man was upset because of past thefts from cars and told police if he had his rifle with him, "he would have shot the subject that was in his vehicle and used him as an example." Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle and police suspect the man is on day release from Huber.
