Police Report: Aug. 15

1 A man was arrested after he was removed from Master Z's, 2454 N. Grandview Blvd., around 1 a.m. Aug. 7 after allegedly asking patrons if they wanted "coke," threatening to kill people and their families and touching females inappropiately according to the call log.

2 Police were called at 6:27 p.m. Aug. 6 on a report of a man laying on a sidewalk, not moving at 214 E. Main St. Police located the man and woke him up. He said he had been drinking since 10 a.m. and walked home.

3 An air conditioning unit was reported stolen from an air conditioning unit on a rental property at 1107 W. Sunset Drive Aug. 6.

4 A resident at 2714 Albany Court called police at 3:22 p.m. Aug. 6 to report her son's friend was shot with a BB gun by a neighbor kid. After talking with the neighbors, they reported that their neighbor's child shoots BB guns at others, too. Police advised them on the city' nuisance ordinance.

5 Someone reported suspicious activity at Woodfield Park at 2:55 p.m. Aug. 6. The caller said they saw two men and a woman who appeared to be taking her clothes off while the men were taking photos of her. They were gone when police arrived at the park.

6 Criminal damage to property was reported after someone through a rock was thrown through a window at 2000 Wolf Road Aug. 6.

7 A caller at 349 Harvey Ave. called police at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 6 to report theft of items from their yard.

8 A resident at 2114 Sherryl Lane called police at 8:01 a.m. Aug. 6 to report someone tied "Fire Line - Do Not Cross" tape across his driveway and also tied a yellow extension cord across the drive. He said his house was also egged about a month ago, but he handled it because the suspect goes to school with his daughter. He wanted to record this latest incident in case there are more.

9 Someone attempted to rob Cyclesmith, 1314 S. West Ave., around 12:12 a.m. Aug. 8. Police were unable to stop the suspect who fled north.

10 Police were dispatched to 1420 Greenfield Ave. at 11:06 p.m. Aug. 7 after dispatchers on an open 911 call heard "a lot of yelling and laughing but also hearing someone say something about getting a knife and another say he would get his gun." When police arrived at the house a man said he and others were playing video games and he accidentally dialed 911 on cell phone.

11 A wallet was reported stolen from a cart at 1220 W. Sunset Drive at 2:54 p.m. Aug. 7.

12 A man at Loose Auto and Truck Body shop, 1350 Ellis St., called police at 9:29 p.m. Aug. 8 to report someone broke into the shop between 6:30 and 7:15 p.m.

13 A caller at 1122 Delafield St. reported a man walking back and forth between Subway and George Webb's yelling at people through the windows. When police found the man, he said he was "thinking out loud." George Webb staff said the man was in a bad mood, but had not caused any problems.

14 A caller at 134 W. Roberta Ave. told police at 12:02 p.m. Aug. 8 that they found a note in their mailbox that said, "Sorry for stealing from you. I love you and you're amazing" along with $30 cash. The caller was advised to check if anything had been stolen and to call back. Police also advised to check if the $30 is counterfeit.

15 A car at 100 S. Hartwell Ave. was reported entered overnight on Aug. 8. Missing was a wallet and credit cards.

16 A laptop and GPS was reported stolen from a vehicle at 827 Tenny Ave. at 9:09 a.m. Aug. 8.

17 A GPS and change was reported stolen from a car at 411 E. Newhall Ave. at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 8.

18 A real estate agent at 514 S. Grand Ave. called police at 9:36 p.m. Aug. 11 saying someone is trying to rent out a property that they have listed for sale.

19 A caller in the 1100 block of Fleetfoot Drive told police that a car was driving around the neighborhood with the windows down using an airhorn.

20 A sweatshirt and wallet were reported stolen out of a vehicle at 324 W. College Ave. at 8:28 p.m. Aug. 10.

21 Someone took a chair from an unlocked garage at 1240 Summit Ave. on Aug. 10.

22 Three bikes were reported stolen from 121 Carroll St. at 8:10 a.m. Aug. 10. The caller said the bikes were locked with a chain to a gutter downspout and that the chain was cut.

23 Someone called police at 12:02 a.m. Aug. 10 to complain of loud TV and "line dancing" at 100 Corrina Blvd.

24 Theft of a wallet from a vehicle at 2810 Golf Road was reported on Aug. 9.

25 A passport and military ID were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at Pick 'n Save, 2160 Silvernail Road, at 11:40 p.m. Aug. 12.

26 A resident at 1815 Swartz Drive called police at 7:53 a.m. Aug. 12 to report their house was entered sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. and midnight. They said their purse was stolen that had a passport, credit cards and cash inside. No signs of forced entry were reported.
