Police report: Aug. 1

Information taken from reports filed by the Waukesha Police Department

July 30, 2013

1 A resident at 202 Randall St. called police at 8:58 p.m. July 23 to report that his neighbor comes onto his property and rips out his flowers and threatens him. The caller said his neighbor is constantly harassing him about overgrown vegetation in the yard. The neighbor told police if the man wouldn't clean up his yard, that he would do it himself. Police warned the neighbor he would be arrested for trespassing if he goes onto the property again.

2 Nine large binders of Chicago police reports marked confidential were found in a Dumpster at a cemetery at 605 S. Prairie Ave. July 23. Cemetery staff said the documents are 10 years old and they didn't feel comfortable disposing of them.

3 A burglary was reported at 909 S. Grand Ave. at 7:11 a.m. July 23. The caller said someone gained entry through an unlocked door to their garage and took a laptop, GPS, change jar and other items from their car.

4 A woman called police at 9:30 p.m. July 24 to report someone threw a full water bottle at her hitting her while she was riding her bike in the area of Prairie Song Drive and Madison Avenue. The caller said she called police because she was concerned in case any other bikers were being harassed in the area.

5 A resident at 1144 Lindbergh Ave. called police at 7:08 p.m. July 24 after they found a 7-inch knife on the sidewalk in front of their house. The caller said there are children in the area and they would like to turn it over to police.

6 Burglary from a storage unit at 2015 Kensington Drive was reported at 3:38 p.m. July 24.

7 A neighbor of 2430 Brentwood Drive called police to report graffiti containing racial slurs was spray painted on their neighbor's driveway. The caller said they weren't sure if the property owners were home, but that the spray paint cans were still in the driveway.

8 Arson was reported at 5:36 a.m. July 26 when a man reported going to his truck to find the front seat burned at 822 Oakland Ave.

9 A man at 1219 S. Grandview Blvd. called police at 7:03 p.m. to report strange noises outside his apartment. The dispatch log said the sounds the man was describing sounded like a bullfrog.

10 A house at 235 Maria St. was reported egged at 4:58 p.m. July 25.

11 A resident at 219 Arcadian Ave. called police at 9:26 a.m. July 28 to report property damage after someone light their patio umbrella on fire a few days ago.

12 Police were dispatched to a report of an underage drinking party at 1408 Niagara St. at 10:36 p.m. July 27. A neighbor called police to report the party and when police arrived they could hear people in the home, but they refused to come out. However, police found on man passed out on the side of the house and cited him for underage drinking.

13 A man at 1500 David Court called police at 10:12 p.m. July 27 asking them to remove his girlfriend from his residence. The man said he wants his girlfriend to move out because, "she is driving him crazy with gossip."

14 The landlord at 120 Cambridge Ave. called police at 10:49 a.m. July 27 to report theft of electricity. The landlord discovered a tenant running wires through the wall from an outside outlet to an apartment.

15 The Academy Waukesha, 2000 Silvernail Road, called police to report a disorderly woman who was upset because stylists could not do the hair color she requested. Employees said the woman became verbal with staff and would not leave. Police were not able to locate the woman.

16 A caller at Waukesha North High School, 2222 Michigan Ave., reported sand in their gas tank at 5:35 p.m. July 26. The caller said while they were filling up their gas tank they noticed sand around the inside of the gas cap area. The man said he coaches weightlifting at Waukesha North High School and thinks it may have happened there.

17 A caller at 1115 Anoka Ave. called police at 4:37 p.m. July 26 to report their vehicle and their girlfriend's vehicle were entered and a cell phone charger was taken.

18 A man was advised on suspicious activity after making employees at a Mobile station at 101 E. Broadway feel uncomfortable around 5:26 a.m. July 30. Employees called police to say the man kept staring in the store and making Star Wars references by asking employees to join him on the "dark side." Employees asked police to advise the man not to return to the store or there would be trespassing charges.

19 An officer reported disorderly conduct by the owner of Trailside Cycle, 732 Clinton St. after he observed him making obscene gestures out the windows of his business to the passing officer. According to the incident log, the officer was patrolling downtown early morning July 30 and saw, "Hans jumping up and down in the front window of his store making obscene gestures and screaming obscenities." The officer said the man would not exit his store to speak with him. An incident report was not filed.

20 A caller at 344 Roberta Ave. called police at 12:24 a.m. July 30 to report someone spray painted "I'll love 420 forever" on their garage door within the last three hours.

21 A resident reported $100 worth of firewood was stolen from their home at 714 N. East Ave. by residents at 133 South St. on July 29. The caller said that the suspects left to go camping.

22 Burglary was reported at 7:17 p.m. July 29 at 1080 White Rock Ave. The caller said their door was locked when they left and when they came home the door was wide open and items were taken.

23 A man at 2454 Grandview Ave. called police at 11:24 a.m. July 29 to report fraud. He said a collection agency claiming to be We Energies had scammed him out of $1,397 by stating that unless he paid a delinquent account balance immediately the power to his business would be cut off.

24 A caller at 2638 Pebble Valley Road reported their vehicle was egged sometime overnight on July 28.
