Police Report: April 11

1 A caller in the 1900 block of Woodburn Road reported around 10:15 a.m. March 30 that a neighbor keeps "looking in her windows."

2 A caller in the 100 block of Corrina Boulevard reported finding a note on her front door with the word "whore" written on it around 2:20 p.m. March 30.

3 A caller in the 500 block of Crestwood Drive reported hearing two gunshots around 7:45 p.m. March 30 "coming from the direction of Minot."

4 A 100-pound tool chest was reportedly stolen from a driveway in the 800 block of East College Avenue. It was reported around 10:20 p.m. March 30.

5 Two females were fighting and pulling each other's hair over a comment one of them made about the other's brother around 12:10 a.m. March 31 at a bar at 357 W. Broadway.

6 A caller in the 1200 block of Fleetfoot Drive reported around noon March 31 that a window to a garage was broken and numerous power tools stolen.

7 A window on a new Volvo parked in a lot at 1901 E. Moreland Blvd. was reported smashed around 2:15 p.m. March 31.

8 Two trucks "stuck up to the axles in mud" were reported around 10:30 p.m. March 31 in the 2300 block of Corporate Drive.

9 A caller in the 300 block of Arlington Street reported that neighbor's "electricity (was) coming through his walls" around 3:45 a.m. April 1.

10 A caller at 210 W. Laflin Ave. told police their vehicle was entered on April 3 and $2 plus loose change was taken. They wanted police to be aware this is an ongoing problem in the area.

11 Police were dispatched to a fight in progress at 10:29 p.m. on April 3 at 1436 Moreland Blvd. A female and two males were arguing, throwing punches and breaking items. The caller saw them leave in a blue station wagon before police arrived.

12 A resident at 404 S. Greenfield Ave. called police at 10:28 p.m. April 3 because they saw a prowler in their backyard.

13 A caller in the 200 block of North Hine Avenue said her mother slapped her after they got in a fight over her mother yelling at her 4-year-old son for being too loud and rambunctious. The mother claimed the daughter slapped her. As police were finishing their report around 10 p.m. on April 3, they heard a loud thud inside and found the mother unconscious on the floor and will recommend help for alcohol abuse.

14 A taxi driver reported at 8:35 p.m. April 4 someone left without paying at 2815 N. Grandview Blvd. Taxi driver's boss doesn't want to pay driver, because they want to fire them.

15 A caller at 117 Carroll St. reported at 7:58 p.m. April 3 they lost an envelope with $700 cash in it. They want to note the missing money in case someone turns it in.

16 A resident at 825 Pleasant St. called police at 4:15 a.m. April 4 saying they are being harassed by their upstairs neighbor who is banging on the floor over their bed and waking them up. They said this is an ongoing problem. Police knocked on the neighbor's door but no one answered.

17 A resident at 314 Sentinel Drive called at 5:21 p.m. April 3 to complain that her neighbor that lives above her talks about them and she can hear it through the walls. The neighbor denied the claim and thinks there may be drugs involved.

18 A customer at Boucher Chevrolet, 1421 E. Moreland Blvd., called police at 3:30 p.m. April 3 claiming a business put a GPS tracking device on her vehicle. Officers determined the caller has mental issues.

19 A caller at 2417 Pewaukee Road reported graffiti at 7 a.m. April 4. They said there is a smiley face with horns in pink chalk under their mailbox and are worried it's connected to the smiley face serial killer in Lacrosse and Milwaukee.

20 A woman called police at 9:01 p.m. on April 2 saying she was in the area of I-94 and Moreland Boulevard and wants to shoot and kill a road rage suspect. She asked if it was OK to confront the other driver and point her gun at him. When police said no, she said she would feel threatened and shoot and kill the person and hung up. When police called back the woman told them they had the wrong number and hung up.

21 Someone from Carroll University's WCCX-FM called police at 7 a.m. April 2 to report harassment. The caller said they have received two hand-written letters that are several pages long that refer to Biblical passages and the end of the world.

22 An employee at Guardian Credit Union, 1501 E. Sunset Drive, called police at 3:39 p.m. April 1 to report a counterfeit $100 bill.

23 A woman who lives in the 300 block of Sentinel Drive told police at 7 a.m. on April 8 an upstairs neighbor talks to her through her vents as she was in the shower. She said he said, "I know you are in the shower."

24 Someone called police to report teens possibly drinking underage at the gazebo on Fox River Parkway at 8:51 p.m. on April 5. Police contacted the teens who were high school friends trying to coordinate an elaborate invitation to prom for a fellow classmate. The plan was aborted due to windy conditions at the park. It's unknown if the teen was successful in asking date to prom.

25 Someone called police at 8:03 p.m. April 5 to report five to six males in front of the building at 220 Hinman Ave. arguing and about to start fighting. Police discovered 12 people playing football and not fighting.

26 A woman who lives in the 500 block of North East Avenue called police at 6:28 p.m. April 5 to report her 12-year-old hit her on the arm and was being very verbal. The child was placed on homebound detention for the weekend and told he must follow the rules and not get physical with anyone in the home or police will be called back.
