Advance Auto Parts plans Waukesha store

The Waukesha Plan Commission on Wednesday will consider plans for a new 6,500-square-foot Advance Auto Parts store at 1617 Summit Ave., city records show.

Virginia-based Advance Auto Parts operates 3,462 retail stores in 39 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and employs 50,00 people.

The company is publicly traded under symbol AAP and was trading near a 52-week high Wednesday.

The company posted net earnings of $109 million on sales of $1.8 billion in the quarter ended April 24, according to the company's website.

The Plan Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. at Waukesha City Hall, 201 Delafield St.
