A Fond du Lac County jury Friday convicted Nancy J. Pinno of helping to burn the body of 28-year-old Waukesha woman who police say was strangled by Pinno's son.

Renee Redmer, a 29-year-old mother of two, was reported missing Jan. 13. Pinno's son, Brandon J. Mueller, 36, killed Redmer then hid her body in a cooler in his mother's Fond du Lac garage, according to a criminal complaint.

Pinno, 53, helped Mueller move the body to a home belonging to a friend, Donald R. Worth, 48, of the Town of Friendship. According to the complaint, Mueller and Worth burned the body then dumped the ashes into a hole drilled in the Lake Winnebago ice.

The jury convicted Pinno of being party to the crime of mutilating a corpse and of obstructing an officer.

Worth, 48, pleaded no contest in November to being party to a crime of mutilating a corpse and possession of marijuana.

Mueller is awaiting trial on charges of first-degree intentional homicide and of mutilating a corpse.
