Waukesha — A fire about 9:30 a.m. Saturday damaged a house at 429 Lemira Ave.
The fire started in the kitchen and spread to the attic of the house, the Waukesha Fire Department said.
The residents were not home at the time of the fire. A dog was found unharmed, but two cats remain unaccounted for, the fire department said.
The cause of the fire and the amount of damage it caused to the house have not been determined yet, the fire department said.
