Waukesha police report: July 28, 2016 issue

1An anonymous caller reported cars were ignoring construction and road closure signs near Delafield Street and Bidwell Avenue around 10 p.m. July 15. According to a police report, one car drove up onto some grass along Bidwell and hit a recycling bin.

2A woman suffered an anxiety attack after allegedly drinking too much 'gas monkey tequila' around 11:22 p.m. July 15 at a home in the 1000 block of Aurora Street. The woman was rolling around on the floor, coughing and crying, a police report said, and was eventually taken to the hospital.

3Police arrested an intoxicated man who was urinating in the street and various residents' yards around 4:40 a.m. July 16 near Arcadian and Perkins avenues. According to a police report, the man also got into a physical argument with his female companion, who reported the incident.

4Part of a cylinder of compressed gas, launched accidentally and unintentionally from Waukesha Iron and Metal, blew a hole through the ceiling of the nearby Mander Collision and Glass building, 1604 Manhattan Drive, around 1:10 p.m. July 16. A police report said no one was injured at Mander. The other part of the cylinder landed in a resident's yard about a half mile away.

5Police picked up a bag of needles around 4:09 p.m. July 16 from a resident in the 1500 block of Mohawk Lane who said another man had stashed them in the caller's backyard while the man was fleeing from police about a week earlier.

6A Pokemon Go player was annoyed by a man selling pizza by the slice to other players around 9:50 p.m. July 16 in the 200 block of Main Street. According to a police report, the seller brought full pizza boxes with him, and emptied two of them, before police arrived. The report said the pizza seller was advised about solicitor permits.

7Police had to advise several people playing Pokemon Go after the curfew hours at Frame Park, 1200 Whiterock Ave., around 10:12 p.m. July 16. A patrol check of the parking lot revealed several cars parked there past posted hours.

8A woman told police a strange man offered her a ride home while she was out walking after work around midnight July 16 near West Laflin and Grand avenues. When she turned down the offer, the man reportedly pulled over and got out of his car to convince her to ride with him — to no avail. The woman walked into a nearby restaurant and reported the incident, a police report said.

9A small group of people protested, and possibly made homophobic remarks, outside Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Road, around 11:50 a.m. July 17. A police report said one of the protestors had a bullhorn and was shouting at people leaving the church. When police arrived, there were no problems, the report said.

10A 58-year-old man was rushed to the hospital around 4:40 p.m. July 17 from the 2200 block of Michigan Avenue after he ran his bike into the back of an illegally parked car there. According to a police report, the driver of the car had stopped temporarily to drop off his kids at the nearby park. The report said the bicyclist had his 'jaw hanging' and some teeth knocked out.

11A caller told police around 7:03 p.m. July 18 someone had stolen copper wire off three towers in the 1800 block of Coral Drive, causing about $10,000 in damage to the towers as a result. No suspects or leads were mentioned in a police report.

12Police officers mediated an argument between a man and woman, both drunk, over a cat around 9:30 p.m. July 18 in the 300 block of Spring Street. According to a police report, the cat was sick, and the argument was about who should be caring for it.

13Emergency personnel responded to a structure fire around 3:42 a.m. July 19 in the 400 block of Barney Street. According to a police report, the fire was at a two-story multifamily house. A cause of the fire, which was reportedly under control in about an hour, was not listed.

14A bicyclist was hit by a car and suffered a rib injury around 5:04 a.m. July 19 in the 1000 block of Perkins Avenue. A police report said the bicyclist told the driver to call police, then pedaled away from the scene before returning later. The report does not indicate whether any citations were issued.

15Police had to calm an angry 14-year-old boy who was reportedly 'out of control' and throwing chairs around inside Shorehaven Behavioral Health, 2607 N. Grandview Blvd., around 2:39 p.m. July 19. Once officers calmed the boy down, he was given a ride back to a Milwaukee group home.

16Police responded to a multiple-vehicle accident in which three people were injured around 11:11 a.m. July 20 near Madison Street and Fairmont Avenue. According to a police report, officers had to redirect traffic around the crash. The report did not indicate whether any citations were issued.

17Two women scuffled briefly around 11:34 a.m. July 20 at Walmart, 2000 S. West Ave., when one of the women thought the other was trying to cut in front of her while she was waiting in line at the customer service desk. According to a police report, one woman grabbed the other by the arm; the woman fell after being grabbed. However, neither woman wished to make a formal complaint, the report said.

18A 23-year-old woman suffered a variety of injuries after the car she was driving collided with a street sign and a tree near Madison Street and Washington Avenue around 2:32 p.m. July 21. According to a police report, the woman had difficulty breathing and an unspecified knee and chest injury and was bleeding from a cut. A cause for the accident was not listed in the report.

19Police had to track down a man, wearing only his underwear, around 7:15 a.m. July 22 after the man fled on foot from his apartment in the 1000 block of River Place Boulevard, claiming someone was going to shoot him. The man's neighbor reported the incident, and officers were able to take the man, who was barely clothed, into custody without incident.

20A woman told police she was sexually assaulted while staying at the Hebron House of Hospitality, 812 N. East Ave. She reported the incident around 3:19 p.m. July 23, and said the assault occurred around 1 a.m. that day. She could not immediately identify a suspect.
