1A man wearing a surgical mask and carrying a wooden bat or sword was acting 'disorderly' on a Metro bus around 6:01 a.m. July 1 in the 900 block of North Barstow Street. The man got off the bus shortly thereafter and was arrested, a police report said.

2Police drove an intoxicated and possibly pregnant woman home around 12:01 p.m. July 1 after she fell down near East Park Avenue and North Barstow Street.

3Two young boys were spotted climbing electrical towers around 6:37 p.m. July 1 in the 2100 block of Butler Drive. According to an incident report, police found the boys nearby and advised them not to climb the towers anymore. The boys were cooperative, the report said.

4A woman told police her neighbor in the 400 block of Maple Avenue shot an arrow into her backyard without permission, possibly by accident, around 11:31 a.m. July 2. A police report said the woman's neighbor apologized for the errant arrow. The arrow did not damage any of the woman's property.

5Police arrested a man possibly linked to a retail theft ring after an anonymous caller reported the man was urinating outside his car around 3:41 p.m. July 2 in the Blain's Farm and Fleet parking lot, 2310 Kossow Road.

6A 69-year-old man split his head open when he fell down some concrete steps outside his home while drunk around 4:30 p.m. July 2 in the 100 block of Arcadian Avenue. According to a police report, the man declined to be taken to the hospital and his sober roommate promised to take care of him.

7Two men got in a fight and one apparently shoved and spit on the other around 7:41 p.m. July 2 in the 1000 block of Delafield Street. A police report said one of the men was drunk and rude and the other man asked him to leave but the intoxicated man refused. Officers mediated the situation.

8A bystander grabbed and held a purse snatcher until police could arrive to arrest the thief around 1:30 a.m. July 3 outside the Salty Toad, 921 Friedman Drive.

9Mechanical failure apparently caused a man to lose control of his car and crash it into a light pole around 5:33 a.m. July 3 near East Roberta and Racine avenues. An incident report said the pole fell down but was not a hazard. The driver suffered minor cuts and bruises in the accident but was able to walk away from the crash under his own power.

10An unknown person or persons stole a dragon paddle boat overnight from High Roller Fun Rentals, 1128 Baxter St., inside Frame Park, and snapped off the boat's decorative head and tied the boat across the Fox River. The damage was reported around 10:35 a.m. July 3.

11A woman was having trouble breathing and a 2-year-old suffered neck pain following a two-car accident around 2:05 p.m. July 3 near Saylesville Road and Highway 59. According to a police report, at least six people were transported to the hospital after the crash but the nature and severity of their injuries was not specified.

12Police responded to at least two dozen reports of fireworks being set off from nearly as many different locations in the city on both July 2 and July 3. According to police reports, a few people were warned about using fireworks but no one was cited.

13A woman called police for help after she got her motorized wheelchair stuck in a rut between the sidewalk and the curb around 4:05 p.m. July 4 in the 2100 block of Silvernail Road. According to a police report, a 'kind citizen' assisted officers with the woman and her chair, which was lifted out of the rut, and the woman was sent on her way unharmed.

14A 1-year-old Waukesha girl wandered alone out of her parents' house and near a playground around 6:14 p.m. July 4 in the 200 block of Oakland Avenue and was found there by an anonymous caller who was concerned for the girl's well-being. The girl was reunited with her mother shortly after she was found and was unharmed.

15Four teenagers snuck into an abandoned barn around 8:43 p.m. July 4 just west of Prairie Song Drive and Madison Street to smoke marijuana but were caught by police and will be cited. According to an incident report, all four teens were cooperative and turned over any drug paraphernalia they had. One also handed over a pill bottle of marijuana, the report said.

16Police opened an arson investigation after officers found evidence someone was trying to start a fire around 7:09 a.m. July 5 inside Whittier Elementary School, 1103 East Ave. According to a police report, someone threw some incendiary devices through some windows behind the school. The investigation is ongoing.

17A man was spotted flapping his arms and grooming himself like a bird in front of the Phillips and Gemignani law offices downtown, 358 W. Main St., around 2:56 p.m. July 5. A police report said the man was drunk and advised on his behavior.

18A woman wielding a knife was arrested shortly after she was involved in a fight with three other people around 8 p.m. July 5 in the 300 block of Jackson Court. According to a police report, at least one man was injured in the fight but not seriously.

19Two drunk men tried to take donuts from a man delivering them to a local Mobil gas station around 11:31 p.m. July 5. According to a police report, the men were harassing the delivery driver and eventually grabbed and threw the donuts he was trying to drop off at Dave's gas station, 1808 Silvernail Road. Both men were arrested, the report said.

20A man driving a motorcycle was injured after being involved an accident with another car around 11:04 a.m. July 6 near American and South Washington avenues. According to a police report, the man, who was not wearing a helmet, cut his hand. The front wheel of the motorcycle broke off in the crash, the report said.
