Residents will have a new place to get their teeth cleaned or, if they're afraid of the dentist, a new spot to white-knuckle their way through biannual appointments, at Dental Associates first Waueksha location, which was scheduled to open Monday, July 11.

The roughly 21,500-square foot clinic is just off Highway 164 and Main Street at 1211 Dolphin Court.

Work on the clinic began last fall. The building features a glass rotunda and several windows on its brick exterior. The interior includes a large lobby and a stone fireplace.

'We have a dynamic model of patient care that we're excited to share with Waukesha County,' said Thomas Manos, president and owner of Dental Associates, in a statement. 'A high-tech facility like our Waukesha clinic is part of our vision to deliver comprehensive, affordable, top-quality dental services to residents throughout the area.'

The Waukesha clinic will provide a suite of dental services — general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontic and surgical care — to serve children, teens, adults and seniors. It employs 20 people, including dentists, hygienists and dental technicians.

The company previously said it planned to employ around 70 at the Waukesha location, its first in the city, sixth in suburban Milwaukee and 14th in the state.

Dental Associates, founded in 1973, is Wisconsin's largest family-owned dental group practice and has its headquarters in Milwaukee.

The Waukesha clinic began scheduling patient appointments on June 27, the release said. The clinic can be reached by phone at 262-436-3363.

'During the last few years, we've worked hard to bring continual improvements and innovations to our clinics and patients,' Manos said. 'We're constantly pushing ourselves to be the best and most trusted provider of dental services in Wisconsin.'

According to the release, the company plans to open its 14th dental clinic in Howard, a suburb of Green Bay, next month.
