Waukesha police report: June 30, 2016 issue

1Staff at the Waukesha branch of Wisconsin Community Services, 414 W. Moreland Blvd., reported around 8:47 a.m. June 17 that a man at their facility — with a record of prior drunken driving offenses but who was free on bond — was driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration. Police took the man into custody and called HAWS to remove a dog from the man's car.

2A resident in the 1300 block of Fleetfoot Drive told police around 11:10 a.m. June 17 that someone had scratched her car and dumped sugar all over it. According to a police report, the woman said she believes she knows who did it.

3An anonymous caller told police a man flashed a revolver after the caller did not allow the man to merge his car in front of the caller's around 1:49 p.m. June 17 near Roberts and East North streets. The man did not additionally threaten or follow the caller, according to a police report.

4A man told police he was being 'sarcastic' when he told a social worker he had hidden a gun in a Waukesha park and was thinking about using it to kill himself around 3:23 p.m. June 17. The man, a resident in the 1500 block of Summit Avenue, said in a police report he told the social worker he had a hidden gun because the social worker 'was annoying him.' Officers searched the man's home and found no evidence that he owned a gun, the report said.

5 A resident in the 2400 block of Springdale Road told police she was missing 15 hydrocodone pills after contractors completed some work in her apartment around 5:30 p.m. June 17. A police report did not indicate whether any of the contractors were suspected of the theft.

6Police had to forcibly restrain a girl around 6:37 p.m. June 17 at Horeb Spring Park, 330 Spring St., who did not want to leave the public pool. According to an incident report, the girl, who was at the pool with her aunt, refused to leave when she was told to and began screaming and pushing her aunt. The girl was 'extremely uncooperative' with officers when they arrived, the report said, and had to be stabilized on the ground. Her parents came to pick her up.

7A woman told police one of her male friends beat her up around 9:09 p.m. June 17 near the 1900 block of Waterview Lane. The woman said in a police report she did not need any medical attention. Officers arrested the friend, but the report did not indicate whether he was cited or criminally charged.

8An anonymous caller told police a female Waukesha South High School student was inappropriately grabbed and touched by three males during Friday Night Live on June 17 near the Five Points intersection downtown.

9A manager at The Crest Pub and Grill, 257 W. Broadway St., told police they saw a woman punch a man around 1:15 a.m. June 18 at the corner of Broadway and Main Street. After the incident, the man and woman each went to separate bars downtown, a police report said.

10A clerk at Kwik Trip, 1809 W. St. Paul Ave., was concerned about a man the clerk said regularly sleeps in his car at the gas station. The clerk saw the man had his car running around 1:51 a.m. June 18. Police arrived and found the man 'kicked back listening to a radio program' unharmed, a police report said. The man finished the program then drove home.

11Parents of a 10-year-old girl told police a strange man asked to photograph their daughter and her 11-year-old friend at River's Crossing Park, 3703 Rivers Crossing Drive, while the two were out playing. The man reportedly asked them to pose for a photo with his developmentally disabled son.

12 Police found an intoxicated man taking a nap next to his bike in some grass on the side of the road around 4:48 p.m. June 18 near Northview Road and Grandview Boulevard. According to a police report, the man had a blood alcohol content of 0.17 and told officers he laid down because he was tired. Officers advised him to walk home with his bike and he did, the report said.

13An elderly woman fell from a retaining wall in the 700 block of West St. Paul Avenue and had to be rushed to the hospital, a police report said. The nature of the woman's injuries were unclear, but fire department personnel cordoned off the wall with caution tape and told a building inspector the wall needed to be repaired.

14Police found a 30- to 35-year-old woman passed out, possibly from a drug overdose, beneath some bushes around 10:38 p.m. June 18 in the 600 block of North Hartwell Avenue. The woman was handed over to the fire department for treatment.

15A woman told police her boyfriend stepped on her chest during an argument the two were having around 12:47 a.m. June 19 in the 800 block of Perkins Avenue. Officers arrested the man but a police report did not specify whether the man had been criminally charged or cited.

16A newspaper delivery driver who was driving backwards near Glendon Way and Summit Avenue around 3:05 a.m. June 19 nearly crashed his vehicle head-on into a police squad car. According to an incident report, the man told an officer its easier to put papers in mailboxes while driving in reverse. The report said the driver was 'strongly advised to follow the flow of traffic.'

17A man reportedly tried to run over his wife in the parking lot of O'Reilly Auto Parts, 1121 Spring City Lane, around 11:32 a.m. June 19. According to an incident report, the woman was unharmed and her husband was arrested. The report did not indicate whether the man was cited or criminally charged.

18An off-duty Waukesha firefighter followed a driver in a car that was involved in two separate hit-and-run incidents with other vehicles around 7:58 a.m. June 20 near Summit and Western avenues. A police report said the firefighter tracked the car to an address in the 2500 block of Summit Avenue and waited there for officers.

19A silhouette of a body was spray-painted on the street prior to 8:51 a.m. June 23 in the 400 block of Everett Drive. An unidentified man reported the incident and told police someone had spray-painted the road near his car to 'look like a crime scene.'

20A woman suffered a chest injury when she crashed her car into another vehicle that was parked in the 2800 block of North University Drive around 4:43 p.m. June 24 and pushed the parked car up onto the sidewalk. According to a police report, the woman tried to drive away after the accident, but other drivers blocked her in until police arrived.
