According to a police report, the students' antics were the result of 'prank day' at the high school.
2A 56-year-old man who got into a heated argument over a four-pack of beer was injured around 12:46 p.m. June 3 on the Barstow Street bridge just north of Discount Liquor. An incident report said an unidentified man pushed the 56-year-old to the ground during the argument. The man suffered a cut to his right elbow and just above his left eye as a result, but the injuries were not serious.
3A group of youths climbed the scaffolding outside Avalon Square, 222 Park Place, and onto the roof of the building around 5:10 p.m. June 3. According to a police report, the kids were scared off by a local business owner who saw them. A maintenance crew removed a lower portion of the stairs on the scaffolding to prevent any similar incident.
4A rollover accident around 9:34 p.m. June 3 blocked traffic near the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue for more than two hours. According to an incident report, a man driving a truck struck a parked car there but was not injured.
5Two men and two women got into an argument while waiting in their cars around 12:43 a.m. June 4 in the McDonald's drive-thru, 1425 S. West Ave. Police arrived and separated the group, according to a police report, which did not indicate whether any citations or charges were issued.
6An intoxicated man stumbled and fell over some construction barrels at the Five Points intersection downtown at around 1:28 a.m. June 4. Three other people who were with the man helped him up, a police report said.
7A driving lesson apparently went awry around 12:07 p.m. June 4 when police found a driver's education car damaged and in a ditch near Silvernail Road and North University Drive. According to a police report, the car drove into some fencing there. Two people were in the car when officers found it, and neither were injured.
8 An anonymous caller reported seeing a man walking downtown with a bow an arrow around 2:42 p.m. June 4. The man was also reportedly trying to use the bow to skewer fish in the Fox River while sitting on a bridge overlooking the water. Police were unable to find the man, a police report said.
9A car struck and toppled a light pole around 12:16 a.m. June 5 near Broadway Street and Wisconsin Avenue. According to an incident report, the driver, who was not identified, fled the scene after the crash.
10While supposedly trying to lodge a noise complaint against a pesky dog, a possibly intoxicated man told police around 1:52 a.m. June 5 that he leaves his doors open at night 'hoping someone will break in and I can kidnap them.' Police believed the man, a resident in the 1200 block of Seitz Drive, was drunk. Police were unable to contact him at his house.
11A welder, a radio and some unspecified fishing equipment were stolen prior to 11:46 a.m. June 5 out of an apartment in the 300 block of Jackson Court. No suspects or leads were mentioned in a related police report.
12A man was voluntarily admitted to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for alcohol addiction treatment around 1:27 p.m. June 5 after police found him laying on the ground next to a bench near Discount Liquor, 919 N. Barstow St.
13A city tree fell and was hanging from some electrical wires around 7:02 p.m. June 5 during a severe storm. The tree was partially blocking traffic near Cascade Drive and North Grandview Boulevard, according to a police report. The incident was one of several weather-related issues that kept local police and fire department personnel busy.
14Police removed an intoxicated man who had a sword at an apartment in the 1800 block of Kensington Drive around 9 p.m. June 5 after the man's girlfriend asked them to. The woman told police the man was carrying a two-foot sword but didn't believe he would threaten her or anyone else with it, a police report said. She just wanted him gone.
15A detective spoke with a 33-year-old Milwaukee man around 10:16 p.m. June 5 who fell while trying to climb a balcony in the 300 block of North Barstow Street. The man, Nicholas Maraijko, has three pending criminal cases and was arrested for bail jumping.
16Two people were injured in a two-car accident around 10:25 p.m. June 5 near Broadway and Highway 164. One of them was bleeding from the back of the head and had shoulder pain, according to a police report. Injuries for the other were not mentioned in a police report.
17Hanging plants worth about $100 were stolen prior to 9:05 a.m. June 6 from a home in the 100 block of Greenfield Avenue. Similar plants from neighboring homes were also stolen, a police report said.
18Two Waukesha South High School students were fighting each other around 1:11 p.m. June 7 near the southeast entrance of the school, 401 E Roberta Ave. Both students were separated by officers. A police report did not indicate whether or how they were punished.
·A 14-year-old girl was sent home from school around 2:50 p.m. June 7 after administrators discovered she was drunk, a police report said. The report did not specify where the girl was a student, but said she drank vodka in the morning and had a blood-alcohol content of 0.14, nearly twice the state's 0.08 standard considered legal proof of intoxication.
19Police were involved in a high-speed pursuit around 12:38 a.m. June 8 that reached speeds of more than 100 mph and covered a roughly 2.5-mile span. According to a police report, the chase started near Highway 164 and Sunset Drive. The report said officers ended their pursuit at the city limits.
20Police found a car in a manure spreader around 3:23 a.m. June 8 near Corporate Drive and Executive Place. The vehicle appeared to have been in an accident there. An incident report said nothing suspicious was found or observed.
21A man stole 35 towels out of the dryer around 7:14 p.m. June 8 at the Arcadian Car Wash and Laundromat, 1303 Arcadian Ave., then sped away in his truck. According to a police report, a Jimmy John's manager was washing towels there when a man came in, took 35 towels and put them in a basket, then left. The towels were worth about $10, the report said.
