A convicted sex offender who was found guilty of sexual assaulting a teenage and pre-teen girl in three criminal cases will soon be moving into the city.

According to a news release from the Waukesha Police Department, 47-year-old James P. Radtke — who is a lifetime registrant on the state's sex offender registry — will be living at 1356 E. Moreland Boulevard.

Radtke's release date is scheduled for Saturday, June 4, according to online state Department of Corrections records. He has been incarcerated at an Oshkosh correctional facility.

Online court records indicate that Radtke was convicted in three separate cases of a total of five felony counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child under 16 years old. All three cases were brought against him months apart in 1992.

A fourth case accusing Radtke of first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13 years old was dismissed, but the charge was read into the court record.

According to the release, Radtke will be submitting to face-to-face registration with police. He is prohibited from having unsupervised contact with minors, cannot patronize taverns, bars or liquor stores and cannot have contact with either of his victims.

He will also be expected to comply with sex offender rules and will be on GPS monitoring while under supervision, the release said.
