Police are seeking information on the whereabouts of a 20-year-old Milwaukee man who was mistakenly released from the Waukesha County Jail April 29.

Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson and Waukesha County District Attorney Sue Opper announced Sunday, May 1 that they are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information resulting in the re-arrest of James Kadeem Ford.

Ford's last known address is in the 6400 block of 91st Street in Milwaukee, and he has family there living near N. 91st Street and N. 21st Street, according to a news release.

Online court records indicate Ford — also known simply as 'Kadeem' — has an alleged criminal history in Waukesha, Milwaukee and Rock counties dating back at least until May 2013. His most recent conviction was on a felony bail jumping charge in Waukesha County in late March.

He's also been convicted of illegally carrying a concealed weapon, theft and fleeing or eluding a traffic officer.

Ford was serving his sentence for the concealed weapon charge at the Waukesha County Jail when he was mistakenly released last Friday 'due to an error in the inmate release process,' according to the release.

Ford is black, 5 feet 11 inches, with black hair, brown eyes and a beard. He weighs about 180 pounds.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department along with the U.S. Marshal's and the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department have been diligently searching the area since his release and have been unable to locate him, the release said.

Anyone with information on Ford's whereabouts should call the U.S. Marshal's 24-hour tip line at (414) 297-3707 or contact the Crime Stoppers of Waukesha County at www.stopcrimewaukesha.com.

All tipsters and information are confidential and may qualify the caller for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
