Waukesha police report: April 28, 2016 issue

1 A 12-year-old Horning Middle School student was separated from his classmates around 8:05 a.m. April 15 after he began slamming desks and throwing items around a classroom. The boy's parents were called, but refused to come get him so he was moved to a classroom by himself.

2 Two Waukesha South High School students were reported for inappropriate touching around 8:43 a.m. April 15. The nature of the touching and the genders and ages of the students were not specified, but both were described as 'juveniles' in a police report.

3 Staff at Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave., told police around 9 a.m. April 15 that someone is dumping trash in the cemetery after hours and stealing silk flowers. Extra patrols of the area were requested.

4 Two men reportedly stole tool kits from The Home Depot, 2320 Bluemound Road, around 11 a.m. April 15 then fled the store in their car.

5 An unidentified woman tried to fill two fraudulent prescriptions at Walgreens, 2700 Grandview Blvd., around 8:25 p.m. April 15. According to a police report, a doctor's signature on the prescriptions was incorrect.

6 A 50-year-old man was reportedly walking around to various apartments at a complex in 2100 block of Macarthur Road around 6:48 p.m. April 16 and yelling and swearing at tenants. The man was believed to be a resident of the complex, but there was no explanation for his behavior.

7 A 9-year-old girl was reportedly asked by a stranger to get into his car around 7:10 p.m. April 16 near North Cumberland Drive and Summit Avenue. The girl ran away after she was approached. Police were unable to locate the suspect's vehicle.

8 A group of teenagers tried to break into a home in the 100 block of West Avenue around 10:55 p.m. April 16. Police were unable to locate the suspects, but after an investigation said the teenagers had not been able to get into the house. However, two windows were broken.

9 A woman told police her boyfriend pushed her down just before midnight April 16 while the two of them were walking in the 300 block of Riverfront Plaza. The woman called because she believed she was having a panic attack and needed to be taken to the hospital.

10 Police received two separate reports around 12:30 a.m. April 17 of two men attempting to rob people at gunpoint in the 200 block of Carroll Street. One of alleged victims said the men were using a 'shot' gun.

11 An accident between a car and a motorcycle around 10:30 a.m. April 18 at West Moreland Boulevard and Delafield Street left one man with a scratch on his elbow but no other injuries.

12 Two residents of an assisted-living facility in the 400 block of Freeman Street got into a fight around 12:13 p.m. April 18 that ended when one resident hit another in the back of the head with something in the facility's kitchen. Staff there said they would handle the matter internally.

13 Police responded to a structure fire at a building in the 1300 block of East Main Street around 12:56 p.m. April 18. The extent of the damage was not included in a police report, but officers did shut down traffic at Main Street and Perkins Avenue.

14 Someone threw a fist-sized rock through the window of a home in the 700 block of Cheyenne Drive in the morning or early afternoon of April 18. The owner of the home told police he has surveillance cameras installed and suspects his ex-wife of the vandalism.

15 A 15-year-old girl was injured around 4:10 p.m. April 18 when a car drove out an alley in the 400 block of East College Avenue and hit her while she was riding her bike there. The girl's head hurt and she suffered scrapes as a result of the accident, but the driver of the vehicle took off after the collision.

16 Two sixth-grade students at Les Paul Middle School Central Campus, 325 Carroll St., got into a fight in gym class in which one boy hit another in the throat. An administrator at the school told police April 19 that both students would be disciplined internally.

17 A woman inadvertently started a small fire on her apartment deck in the 1100 block of Delafield Street around 9:11 a.m. April 19 when she dropped a lit cigarette onto a wooden railing there. She had extinguished the fire by the time emergency personnel arrived.

18 A resident of the 200 block of Arcadian Avenue asked police around 10:51 p.m. April 19 to help her retrieve her cat, which was locked in her neighbor's garage. The woman and her neighbor are involved in an ongoing dispute, a police report said, but officers did not break into the garage to remove the cat.

19 A woman was stopped for speeding around 2:35 a.m. April 20 at West St. Paul Avenue and South Grandview Bouelvard while she was transporting her husband to the hospital. A police report said officers escorted her to the hospital 'at a reasonable speed' after pulling her over, because she explained that her elderly husband was having trouble breathing and needed medical attention.

20 Police responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident at West Moreland Boulevard and Delafield Street around 11:18 a.m. April 20. A police report did not specify the cause of the accident, but people inside the vehicle told officers they were not injured but trapped.

21 Staff at a luxury car dealership in 1900 block of Moreland Boulevard found an AK-47 in the trunk of a car turned in to their service station for a check-up around 4:18 p.m. April 20. According to a police report, there was no issue with the firearm. Staff at the dealership told officers they just wanted to bring it to the department's attention.

22 A 12-year-old girl called police around 7:19 a.m. April 21 to report she was unable to wake up her father, who had apparently knocked over a lamp and bed while sleeping. The fire department responded to the home in the 2400 block of Saratoga Road and determined the problem was a medical issue.

23 An intoxicated man mistook a home in the 400 block of W. Dunbar Avenue as his friend's apartment around 3:01 p.m. April 22 and scared a resident there in the process. The man repeatedly knocked on doors and windows and attempted to get inside the house, but was redirected to the correct address, which was right next door, when police arrived.

24 An anonymous caller told police there were people, possibly Carroll University students, partying on top of a roof around 5:16 p.m. April 22 at a home in the 100 block of Cook Street.
