Waukesha Police Report: Feb. 18, 2016 issue

1 A door to the Clarke Hotel, 314 W. Main St., was damaged sometime before 6:47 a.m. Feb. 3.

2 A watch, locket and class ring were stolen from a residence at 408 Western Ave. before 4:20 p.m. Feb. 3.

3 A caller said it appeared her vehicle was "gone through" while she was at work at 419 E. Broadway St. at 8:53 p.m. Feb. 3. Her backpack that included her iPad and other items were still in the car but she said someone left a strong odor of cigarette smoke in the vehicle.

4 A window on the Jest For Fun Joke Shop, 265 W. Main St., was smashed overnight Feb. 3-4.

5 A juvenile was taken into custody after he was "out of control" in the cafeteria at Horning Middle School, 2000 Wolf Road, at 11:26 a.m. Feb. 4. He was verbally aggressive with staff and refusing to go to class. The school requested the girl be taken to a shelter.

6 Medication was stolen from a mailbox at 319 Mc Call St. at 1:47 p.m. Feb. 4.

7 A caller in the 2200 block of North University Drive received a suspicious telephone call from someone reportedly from Spokane, Washington, at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 4. The caller said the person claimed he was from the IRS and wanted to date her. The caller immediately hung up. The number said it was no longer accepting messages when police called the number.

8 A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 714 N. East Ave. before 6:50 p.m. Feb. 4.

9 A caller's storage unit was broken into and a tent was stolen at 1216 S. Grand Ave. before 7:40 p.m. Feb. 4.

10 An intoxicated man attempting to climb the hill behind an apartment at 157 Third St. was taken into custody at 1:33 a.m. Feb. 6.

11 A female ran past a caller and said a male was following her at West Main Street and North East Avenue at 1:50 a.m. Feb. 6. Police determined there were no problems as the male and female, who are dating, were playing "games" outside. They said they were walking home to the male's house on James Street.

12 One person was taken into custody after a domestic disturbance was reported between a male and female outside Denny's, 2300 W. St. Paul Ave., at 2:12 a.m. Feb. 6.

13 A caller reported a strong smell of marijuana in an apartment at 309 Arlington St. at 8:51 p.m. Feb. 6. All individuals admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day but police didn't find any drug paraphernalia.

14 An intoxicated female picked a fight with a couple inside the BP gas station, 910 W. St. Paul Ave., at 11:11 p.m. Feb. 6. The female then ran behind the counter and fled the convenience store. The woman was gone when police arrived.

15 A caller reported an intoxicated male couldn't hold himself up as staff of the Sunset Bowl Entertainment Center, 333 W. Sunset Drive, tried to carry him out of the bar at 1:46 a.m. Feb. 7. He was gone when police arrived.

16 A 24-year-old man was bleeding after reportedly stabbing himself in the abdomen at 1511 David Court at 9:26 a.m. Feb. 7. He told police he fell on it. The steak knife was found in the sink.

17 A suspicious stain was spotted in the basement of a residence at 120 Spring St. at 3:24 p.m. Feb. 7. The new owner of the residence believed it was blood the past tenant tried to clean up. Police, however, said the stain in question appeared to be just a juice stain because it was more purple in color.

18 A caller believed a disorderly conduct offense was going on at an apartment at 405 N. East Ave. at 9:01 p.m. Feb. 7 after hearing items thrown around. Police determined there were no issues as the people inside were loud because they were yelling at the TV during the Super Bowl.

19 Security inside a building at 208 Wright St. found a white substance in a bathroom and asked to have it tested for cocaine at 9:41 p.m. Feb. 7. The item showed a negative test for cocaine; it is thought to be just a bath product.

20 During a traffic stop at North Hartwell Avenue and Grove Street an officer could smell marijuana at 3:22 a.m. Feb. 8. When police searched the car they confiscated a few small roaches.

21 A 38-year-old man who has been belligerent with Associated Bank branches in the past and has had his accounts closed because of his behavior, punched an ATM and broke the glass with his hand after the ATM denied his card at the Associated Bank at 704 N. Grand Ave. at 10:31 a.m. Feb. 8. The bank will serve the man, who the police report indicates is schizophrenic, a no trespass notice.

22 A caller thought it was suspicious that a male wearing a black jacket with his hood up was taking pictures of all the homes in the neighborhood at 2610 River Ridge Drive at 3:17 p.m. Feb. 8.

23 A caller found a male sleeping in the stairwell on the second floor of the Waukesha Metro Transit Center, 212 E. St. Paul Ave., at 10:48 p.m. Feb. 8. There was no room for the man at the local shelters.

24 A female in the 3000 block of Kisdon Hill Drive was upset with the way her father yells and disciplines her at 4:16 p.m. Feb. 9. Police said her father's actions were not unreasonable or unlawful. Police told the girl to follow her parents' rules and was advised on what constitutes an actual emergency.

25 Police were called to the Siena House shelter, 1519 Summit Ave., for a fight at 9:42 p.m. Feb. 9. A man got physical and swung at another man at the shelter who had accidentally taken his coat. The man was removed for the night and was told not to return until the following morning.

26 A caller reported a vehicle with cardboard over the windows was running on the second-floor of the Waukesha Metro Transit Center, 212 E. St. Paul Ave., at 9:49 p.m. Feb. 9. Police determined the male occupant of the car is homeless and staying in his car for the night. He also had a monthly permit for the parking structure. Security did not want him removed.

27 A male driver seen drinking a Miller Lite left a Mobile gas station driving south on East Park and North East avenues at 12:26 p.m. Feb. 9.

28 A tablet was stolen from a Speedway gas station, 1600 E. Sunset Drive., at 10:20 a.m. Feb. 10.

29 A purse was stolen from a vehicle at 2422 N. Grandview Blvd. before 11:16 a.m. Feb. 10.

30 A caller's roommate threatened to punch her because she was mad the caller wants to move from an apartment at 1505 David Court. The call came in at 7:22 p.m. Feb. 10. One woman was upset over the other taking some of her moving boxes. She then began to unpack her roommate's belongings. Police advised the woman on her profane and boisterous behavior, but she said she never made any attempts to punch her roommate.

31 An intoxicated male who couldn't stand up on his own at Maple and West Dunbar avenues was taken into custody at 8:58 p.m. Feb. 10.

32 One person was taken into custody after a female said her soon-to-be ex-husband was allegedly attacking her at 2854 Coventry Lane at 9:44 p.m. Feb. 10.
