Waukesha Police Report: Feb. 11, 2016 issue

1 A caller reported a man was causing problems at the PDQ convenience store, 2106 S. West Ave., at 12:39 p.m. Jan. 29. The man told police he didn't get the pack of cigarettes he paid for. After he was shown the video of the cigarettes going into the bag, he realized they must have fallen out before getting into his car and were picked up by someone else. He admitted to becoming disorderly and apologized to the manager. PDQ didn't want the man arrested. The man was given another pack of cigarettes.

2 A Taser had to be deployed on a man after a domestic disturbance at 300 W. Main St. at 2:47 p.m. Jan. 29. He was later taken into custody.

3 A computer tablet and gift cards were stolen from a locked apartment at 157 Third St. prior to 3:41 p.m. Jan. 29.

4 A bike was stolen from an apartment at 100 Corrina Blvd. prior to 4:29 p.m. Jan. 29.

5 A caller believed a domestic disturbance was going on at an apartment at 234 W. Main St. at 8:15 p.m. Jan. 29 and thought a woman lived there. No domestic incident took place. The man who lived there was simply watching "Galavant," a musical comedy television series. There was also no woman in the area.

6 After an argument between a mother and her two adult sons, a woman was taken into custody at 419 N. Moreland Blvd. at 8:41 p.m. Jan. 29. One of the sons said his mother was telling the apartment manager to beat him up. He said his mother, who was possibly intoxicated, was trying to kick him out.

7 A man was taken into custody after a fight at the Five Points intersection (Main Street, Grand Avenue and Broadway) downtown at 2:11 a.m. Jan. 30.

8 A man was taken into custody after he was found passed out at the wheel in the parking lot of Woodman's, 1600 E. Main St., at 4:11 a.m. Jan. 30. The man, approximately in his 30s, reportedly overdosed on drugs. Police found him conscious and alert.

9 A front tire on a vehicle was punctured overnight Jan. 29-30 at 202 N. Hine Ave. A church's mailbox nearby was also destroyed and the mail was spread all over the road.

10 Seats inside a vehicle were slashed at 1108 Madison St. between 1 a.m. Jan. 29 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 30.

11 A security guard saw a vehicle in the parking lot of Boucher Chevrolet, 1421 E. Moreland Blvd., with a sign in the window that said "this car is going to be BOMBED" at 7:40 p.m. Jan. 30. Police found only a small canister on the floor in the backseat that turned out to be an air freshener. It was believed an employee placed the note in the window so no one would enter the vehicle. Police were attempting to get a hold of the dealership to verify the information.

12 A caller complained about a loud TV at a residence at 348 Wisconsin Ave. at 9:20 p.m. Jan. 30. The man, who had his TV on loud because he was hard of hearing, was arrested on a warrant.

13 A caller reported fireworks were lit off in the area at 2109 Kensington Drive at 10:28 p.m. Jan. 30. Two males said they had a small fire in the middle of the pond near an apartment building and were setting off bottle rockets. The males were advised on the fireworks ordinance.

14 Three people were taken into custody after police responded to a fight outside the Sunset Bowl Entertainment Center, 333 W. Sunset Drive, at 12:38 a.m. Jan. 31.

15 A man was taken into custody at 12:14 p.m. Jan. 31 after he allegedly pushed his wife over a footstool at 154 Debbie Drive.

16 A male said his ex-girlfriend, who just broke his front window with her fist, was now knocking on his apartment door and windows at 233 Hinman Ave. at 3:12 p.m. Jan. 31.

17 A woman called police after a man attempted to crawl into her window because she wouldn't answer her door at 126 S. Washington Ave. at 6:13 p.m. Jan. 31. The man said he tried to enter the house because he wanted his slippers. The woman ended up giving the slippers to the man, who was advised on his behavior.

18 A man broke into a house at 118 Columbia Ave. at 9:50 a.m. Feb. 1. The occupant said that, when she came home, she heard glass break and saw someone running through the house. The male ran away when the woman went to the door.

19 A Menards employee who was terminated for showing up to work intoxicated was now trying to drive away at 2315 Bluemound Road at 10:04 a.m. Feb. 1. Police located the woman who was still in the parking lot. She was taken into custody.

20 A man reported cigarette butts missing from his apartment at 221 Arcadian Ave. at 4:41 p.m. Feb. 1. He believed someone took them to possibly frame him for a crime and said he has surveillance video of people possibly casing his residence. There was no evidence of a burglary.

21 A caller reported a possible structure fire in a building at West St. Paul and North Prairie avenues at 7:05 a.m. Feb. 1. The call, however, was canceled when police realized the smoke was just coffee roasting at the Café De Arts building, 830 W. St Paul Ave.

22 A caller's roommates reportedly stole his bed and TV from his residence at 1238 S. Grandview Blvd. prior to 8:38 a.m. Feb. 1 while he was confined to the Waukesha County Jail. The caller said his roommates are holding the items until he pays for a car accident involving a roommate's vehicle. All parties came to a reasonable agreement while on the phone with dispatch.

23 A male was robbed and his cellphone was taken near Waukesha South High School, 401 E. Roberta Ave., at 7:10 p.m. Feb. 1. The caller was detaining one of the suspects. Two other suspects, both wearing hooded sweatshirts, fled on foot.

24 A male who was released from jail a week ago and is a registered sex offender was reportedly harassing and threatening the caller at McDonald's, 1425 S. West Ave., at 9:32 p.m. Feb. 1. The caller was upset the man was loitering at the fast-food restaurant. The man's probation and parole officer was informed of the rule violation.

25 A woman said her husband's ex-girlfriend, who threatened her, followed her vehicle and then punched her car at West St. Paul and Wisconsin avenues at 11:06 p.m. Feb. 1.

26 A caller believed there was a domestic disturbance at an apartment at 120 Corrina Blvd. at 11:34 p.m. Feb. 1. Police determined no domestic incident occurred. A woman there told police that several family members came over after a recent death in the family to drink and discuss property placement for the deceased. The discussion got loud and boisterous as the people became more intoxicated.

27 A man, approximately in his mid 20s wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, was panhandling and repeatedly coming in and out of Target, 2401 Kossow Road, at 5:25 p.m. Feb. 2. He wouldn't leave initially, despite being asked several times. He eventually left and got on a bus.

28 An intoxicated man in his 50s was being loud and disorderly by the computer area in the Waukesha Public Library, 321 Wisconsin Ave., at 8:20 p.m. Feb. 2. Police told him he is no longer welcome on library property and would be arrested for trespassing if he returns.

29 A female was taken into custody for disorderly conduct after throwing food at the McDonald's building, 1425 S. West Ave., at 9:17 p.m. Feb. 2. She was later found after fleeing in a vehicle.
