Waukesha Police Report: Aug. 28, 2014 issue

1 A caller reported the tip of his car hood was burned while it was parked in the back parking lot at 134 W. North St. prior to 5:17 p.m. Aug. 14.

2 A Time Warner Cable employee was working at 1616 S. Grand Ave. prior to 6:20 p.m. Aug. 14 when the homeowner allegedly said "it's been a while since I've been in the Army and shot somebody and I'd have no problem doing it again."

3 A report of a driver swerving around at 1608 E. Sunset Drive at 9:38 p.m. Aug. 14 was thought to be a drunken driving incident. But the erratic driving was a result of the woman with a prosthetic leg adjusting her seat while driving. She said the leg gives her issues from time to time. The driver was advised.

4 Two teenage boys were throwing firecrackers and glass into the neighbor's yard at 2911 Willard Lane around 2:10 a.m. Aug. 15. The home was also egged, as were multiple other addresses on Willard Lane.

5 Two young kids were egging vehicles in a parking lot at 1915 Delafield St. around 2:55 a.m. Aug. 15.

6 A woman's purse was stolen after someone entered her house through a window at 1341 Northview Road prior to 7:31 a.m. Aug 15. The woman believed one of her children may be the suspect.

7 A woman called police after a juvenile put her hands in the shape of a gun and pointed her fingers toward her at the corner of Debbie Drive and South Grand Ave. around 4:15 p.m. Aug. 15. The juvenile and her parent were advised.

8 A purple bike was stolen from an unlocked garage at 825 Eales Ave. prior to 5:02 p.m. Aug. 15.

9 A man reported that the license plates on the vehicle that he sold were stolen at 2713 Welsch Court at 2:48 p.m. Aug. 15. The caller had not taken the license plates off the car before selling the car. Police told the man he couldn't report the plates stolen since it wasn't his property any longer.

10 A bike was stolen from an open garage and a vehicle was also rummaged through at 404 Oxford Road prior to 8:20 a.m. Aug. 16.

11 A GPS was stolen from a vehicle at a residence at 310 Oxford Road prior to 8:56 a.m. Aug. 16.

12 The spring house at Bethesda Park, 560 W. Dunbar Ave., was vandalized with graffiti prior to 11:34 a.m. Aug. 16.

13 A man and woman were seen yelling at the bus stop on the corner of West Main Street and North East Avenue, and the man put his hands around the woman's neck at 7:23 p.m. Aug. 16. The woman, who was screaming, was then seen hitting the man.

14 Two men and one woman were drinking in the parking lot of Hebron House of Hospitality's Cornerstone Apartments, 134 W. North St., at 10:28 p.m. Aug. 16 and started yelling at the caller when he told them not to drink there. One of the men then displayed a utility knife at the caller before leaving the parking lot on foot.

15 An intoxicated man, who had drugs on him, cut a woman's hand during a struggle for a phone at an apartment at 1216 S. Grand Ave. around 3 a.m. Aug. 17.

16 An unlocked vehicle in an underground garage was broken into at 100 Corrina Blvd. prior to 1:36 p.m. Aug. 17. A GPS unit, heart medication and a garage door opener were taken.

17 A very intoxicated woman was screaming at an employee at Pick 'n Save, 2160 Silvernail Road, at 8:17 p.m. Aug. 17 and throwing coupons around the self-checkout area.

18 Police were called after a verbal altercation involving an intoxicated man who had overcooked his burritos in the microwave at 1659 Haymarket Road at 11:12 p.m. Aug. 17. Smoke filled the residence and when police arrived the man allegedly said that he is "not going back to jail."

19 A person was throwing chairs around the community room of the Cornerstone Apartments, 134 W. North. St., around 12:20 a.m. Aug. 18.

20 Rims and tires were stolen from Boucher Buick GMC's Skateland parking lot, 1931 E. Moreland Blvd., prior to 7:28 a.m. Aug. 18.

21 A bullet hole was found in a window at a room inside City Hall, 201 Delafield St., at 8:29 a.m. Aug. 18.

22 A house at 1931 Rambling Rose Road was broken into prior to 10:53 a.m. Aug. 18.

23 A man pushed the mother of his child and threw juice at her at an apartment at 408 Jackson Court prior to 4:03 p.m. Aug. 18.

24 A 63-year-old man was arrested after pointing a long gun at another person outside a home in the 300 block of Western Avenue at 7:58 p.m. Aug. 18. Police shut down the street as more law enforcement came. Lt. Joe Hendricks said charges of disorderly conduct of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon were referred to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office. There were no injuries and no shots were fired.

25 A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle at 1308 Hickory Drive South prior to 5:48 a.m. Aug. 19.

26 A vehicle's windows were smashed and the vehicle was rummaged through in an underground parking structure at 2106 Macarthur Road prior to 6:17 a.m. Aug. 19.

27 A reported domestic disturbance at an apartment at 2010 S. East Ave. at 10:52 a.m. Aug. 19 turned out to be a man and woman yelling over a cigarette and his decision to move out.

28 A 22-year-old woman called from the Waukesha Public Library, 321 Wisconsin Ave., stating her dad hit her in the face prior to 5:23 p.m. Aug. 19.

29 Three people were seen smoking some kind of drug in a car at 415 N. Barstow St. at 8:40 p.m. Aug. 19.

30 A cellphone and gun were stolen from a vehicle at 141 Cook St. prior to 7:09 a.m. Aug. 20.

31 A wallet was stolen at 137 Cook St. prior to 8:12 a.m. Aug. 20.

32 A caller reported that a suspicious man was watching her two daughters, ages 6 and 11, as they played in the park at 201 W. Roberta Ave. and then followed them on foot to their apartment around 12:40 p.m. Aug. 20.

33 A GPS unit, a garage door opener and a silver harmonica were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in an underground parking garage at 100 Corrina Blvd. prior to 1:16 p.m. Aug. 20.

34 After a caller was cut off by a man in a black Mercedes SUV on Kossow Road at 1:36 p.m. Aug. 20, the caller's daughter "gave the bird" to the other driver because he called her a jerk. The man then threw a milk shake at her car and cut her off in the area of East Moreland Blvd. and I-94.

35 A woman reported being choked by a man at an apartment at 117 South St. at 2:56 p.m. Aug. 20.

36 A verbal argument between two intoxicated homeless men turned physical in the parking lot behind Donnie Boy's Tap, 362 W. Main St., around 9 p.m. Aug. 20.
