Waukesha County Circuit Judge J. Mac Davis says he'll hang up his robes next year.

Davis, who served in the state Senate as a Republican before moving to the bench in 1990, told the Waukesha Freeman he will not seek re-election after his current term ends next August.

Davis is 62. He told the newspaper he might do some reserve judge work or mediattion but has no plans to work full-time after he retires.
