People all around the world have donated purple hearts and money for the 12-year-old Waukesha girl who was nearly stabbed to death in May, allegedly by two of her classmates who plotted the attack for months.
Now, according to a post from the victim's official fundraising website, a large-scale fundraiser will be put on from a group outside the area at the end of the month.
The groups (Metcalfe's Markets, Johnsonville, Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek and many others) that put on the "World's Largest Brat Fest" each Memorial Day weekend in Madison are working together to put on a fundraiser to help the victim's family pay their mounting medical bills.
The all-day fundraiser, called "Feed Your Heart," is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Metcalfe's west side location, 7455 Mineral Point Road, Madison.
Besides plenty of food and live music, guests will have the opportunity to make personalized purple hearts for the young girl.

People can also still donate to the victim through her fundraising website.
All of the proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the victim's family.
In the two months since the victim was attacked in a wooded area in Waukesha, about $59,300 has been raised to cover the girl's legal and medical bills. The family's goal is $250,000.
In addition to homemade purple hearts, the victim also recently received a military Purple Heart.
The victim has been recovering at home since getting stabbed 19 times allegedly by two of her fellow Horning Middle School classmates.
The suspects, Morgan E. Geyser and Anissa E. Weier, have been charged as adults with attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
The two told police that they stabbed their friend as a way to prove themselves worthy to Slender Man, a fictitious Internet horror character they said they learned about through the Creepypasta Wiki website.
Geyser, who had been housed in the Washington County Detention Center in West Bend, has been ruled by a judge incompetent to proceed with a trial.
A competency hearing was held last week where the two doctors who examined Geyser at the secure detention facility provided details into Geyser's mind-set.
Both medical experts had previously assessed that Geyser was incompetent.
Geyser will be turned over to the state's Department of Health Services for mental health treatment and could be moved to the Winnebago Mental Health Institute.
An update on her status will be given to the court on Nov. 12.
Meanwhile, Weier will have a preliminary hearing on Sept. 17. Her attorney has not asked for a competency evaluation. Weier is also being held at the Washington County Detention Center.
Like Cotton, Smith is looking at having the case moved to the juvenile court system during a reverse-waiver hearing.
