Waukesha Police Report: July 24, 2014 issue

1 Items were stolen from an open garage and vehicles were gone through at 2602 Meadowbrook Road overnight July 10-11.

2 A locked van was broken into at 2708 Sussex Lane prior to 8:11 a.m. July 11.

3 A recently evicted tenant at 312 Randall St. stole a lawn mower from the property around 11:30 a.m. July 11.

4 Police were called due to young kids riding go-karts and tractors in the road on the corner of East Wabash Avenue and South Charles Street around 12:40 p.m. July 11.

5 The air-conditioning units were vandalized at Waukesha Skateland, 1931 E. Main St., prior to 3:18 p.m. July 11.

6 A black Trek bike was stolen from near Alterations Unlimited, 740 N. Grand Ave., around 4:25 p.m. July 11.

7 A person reported hearing a lot of screaming coming from 427 Madison St. at 11:33 p.m. July 11. Officers didn't find anyone fighting but just a loud conversation about politics.

8 A man texted his girlfriend at 601 S. Grand Ave. at 3:29 a.m. July 12 saying he deliberately crashed his car into a wall on the freeway and is hurt. Police learned, however, that he did not crash his car and was just upset because a girl wouldn't go home with him so he made up "a ridiculous text."

9 A caller noticed a hole in his home's siding that he believes could be from a pellet gun at 154 Frame Ave. prior to 8:24 a.m. July 12. There was also damage to an outdoor screen.

10 A man's wallet was stolen in the family locker room at the YMCA, 320 E. Broadway, between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. July 12.

11 A front window appeared to have been shot at by a BB gun at 3605 Stillwater Circle prior to 8:18 a.m. July 13.

12 A house at 1267 Thrush Lane was broken into overnight July 12-13 and multiple guns were stolen, including a revolver and a shotgun, from the basement. Money was also stolen.

13 A vehicle was broken into at 1710 Elder St. around 11:50 a.m. July 13 and gas was taken out of the gas tank.

14 Police were called to Goodwill, 2015 Meadow Lane, around 1:30 p.m. July 13 after a woman said a man "got in her face" during a dispute over a painting they both wanted from the store. Both admitted to causing more of a disturbance than was necessary and the woman ultimately gave up the painting to the man.

15 Outdoor flower boxes were destroyed outside of Mia's Italian Restaurant, 800 Clinton St., prior to 3:45 p.m. July 13. The owner said this is an ongoing problem.

16 A 19-year-old man was out of control and yelling at his stepdad at 2026 Cardinal Drive around 7:30 p.m. July 13. Both were yelling at each other regarding the son not cleaning his room for two weeks.

17 A caller, after seeing a couple run to a trash bin area at 101 W. Broadway, believes a man and woman are engaging in sexual activity because she can see "a lot of movement" around 8:20 p.m. July 13.

18 Grandview Park, 1001 Grandview Blvd., was vandalized with graffiti overnight July 13-14.

19 A caller reported a "blood trail" that extends from Hannon's to Steaming Cup, 340 W. Main St., and goes toward a trash bin in downtown Waukesha around 1:15 a.m. July 14. Police discovered it wasn't blood, but just liquid leaking from garbage being taken out.

20 The inside of the men's bathroom and a shelter at Lowell Park, 2201 Michigan Ave., was spray-painted prior to 7:30 a.m. July 14. It was possibly gang related.

21 A woman called 911 to report her neighbor's children hitting a tree with a hammer at 220 S. West Ave. at 9:04 a.m. July 14. The children's mother then called police stating her kids were being yelled at by the woman. The women were advised to leave each other alone.

22 An 11-year-old boy tried to attack his mother and threw items at her at 512 E. Main St. around 5:45 p.m. July 14.

23 A man broke into his sister's house at 2043 Cliff-Alex Court South and spit in her face when she told him to leave around 5:45 p.m. July 14. The man also pushed his sister against the wall when leaving.

24 A woman called police after what she thought was a gunshot in the conservancy in the back of her residence and there was now a wounded duck in her backyard at 304 Rempe Drive around 8:10 p.m. July 14. The duck didn't have any clear gunshot-type injuries and was back in the marsh area when police arrived.

25 Police were called after two adult sisters admitted to going into each other's locked bedrooms and taking the other one's belongings at 2401 Springdale Road prior to 8:55 p.m. July 14. Both said they were just trying to get their clothes back that were previously taken by the other. Police advised both sisters of their behavior.

26 A green 2001 Ford Explorer was scratched and the interior of the car was ripped up at 2615 N. University Drive prior to 8:49 a.m. July 15.

27 Police checked a vehicle parked in the back parking lot of Walmart, 2000 S. West Ave., where a couple was engaging in "intimate relations" around 9:23 p.m. July 15. Both were advised about their behavior.

28 A window of a vehicle parked in a driveway at 2821 Silvernail Road was smashed prior to 5:33 p.m. July 16.

29 A home at 1483 Waukesha Ave. was burglarized prior to 9:09 p.m. July 16. The caller came home to find the back door open and a TV missing.

30 A van window was broken, possibility with a shot from a BB gun, at 901 N. Grandview Blvd. prior to 7:05 a.m. July 17.

31 A woman struck a man with a closed fist in an apartment at 352 Wisconsin Ave. and also threatened the man around 5:40 p.m. July 17.

32 A 16-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after she was beaten up at 2102 Macarthur Road by two other individuals, who ran off, just before 8 p.m. July 17. The girl suffered injuries to her face and chest.

33 A woman called police after someone kept knocking on her door at an apartment at 150 S. Grand Ave. around 10:10 p.m. July 17. The woman didn't see anyone but police realized it was just a neighbor knocking on the door over a laundry dispute.

34 A man called police because he didn't want to go inside his apartment due to bugs inside in the 2000 block of Kensington Ave. at 1:35 a.m. July 18.
