When the United States' men's soccer team scored the first goal in its World Cup match against Ghana earlier this week, it sparked celebrations throughout the country.
In Waukesha, it brought police to a residence.
According to the police report, a woman reported a domestic disturbance issue at 5:10 p.m. June 16 after she believed a man and woman were fighting at 430 W. Park Ave. She also thought she heard the man say "you should have died."
When police arrived to the residence all they found was a family watching Team USA play in its first World Cup match.
The family told police USA’s goal in the first minute of play sent cheers and screams through the house.
Police quickly determined there was no criteria for a domestic arrest and the family was simply advised on the noise.
The United States ended up winning the match over Ghana, 2-1.
United States' next World Cup match is against Portugal at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 22.
