Waukesha police have identified the victim in Sunday's crash in the 1100 block of E. Moreland Blvd. as 25-year-old Duab C.I. Xiong.
Capt. Ron Oremus said according to her driver's license, the woman is from Stevens Point.
The crash, which took place just before 4:45 a.m., occurred as Xiong tried passing left of the center line, Oremus said. But the car she was passing, turned left into her, Oremus added.
Speed was a factor in the crash, Waukesha police have confirmed.
No intoxicants were present at the scene of the crash, but police are waiting on Xiong's toxicology results.
The driver in the other vehicle was taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
